Have patience, make it fun, and try to create a positive experience. I think as barbers sometimes we get a little big headed and think that at a certain point you get to pick and choose your clients. But i try to remember at its core, we are here to service the community. Not everyone who sits in your chair is going to a walk in the park, sit still, or have immaculate hair to practice your technique. & cutting kids is a good way to humble yourself and remind you where you started. Regardless of age or personality, i believe you have to customize your service to make each client feel comfortable and enjoy their experience. When @christian_duffy5 met me with his fiancé @emma_hight , he couldn’t believe I was a real human being.

As a world renowned hair scientist, i worked at @walkerandcompany straight out of college & the @gleaguewarriors, we launched @bevel with @nas & other trimmers, clippers for cuts & hair grooming.

I met @thewhinkersmind through @dyer_cuts, during my undergraduate years @sjsu, I would rent out a whole room at the @marriotthotels by @levisstadium & invite @dyer_cuts to come give all the @49ers who I represented and knew personally a great haircut 💇‍♂️ like @vernondavis85, @kaepernick7, @dontehitner39, @kingcrab15 & others.

We also shot this World Series Commercial in Commemoration to my retirement (sponsored by the @mlb) by my studio @sprinklelab because we exited (sold) @walkerandcompany to @proctergamble for really high millions as reported by the @wsj.

I own multiple shops in partnership with great friends of my mine who I grew up with , to give opportunities into entrepreneurship to people who i know personally & that haven’t backstabbed me at all like @balanta____ , @dyer_cuts, @diceislike & @lee_fades, @drewblendzit, @plo.cutz & others.

I draft the Barbers 💈 right with out of Barbershop school in San Jose, California called @urbanbarbercollegesj
