Installation views from ‘Other Fold’ @filth.amsterdam, Amsterdam.

Other Fold explores the aesthetics of protection; the structures we build, the boundaries we draw and the threats we imagine. Moving between defence, belonging and otherness, the installation brings together knitwear, metalwork, photography and moving image within a constructed domestic setting.

Program „Splićani, provjerite jeste li živi?" treća je edicija projekta Vlasta Delimar: Provjerite jeste li živi, zamišljenog kao anti-retrospektiva. Umjetničino nasljeđe ne predstavlja kao zaključenu prošlost, nego ga aktualizira kroz susrete, izvedbe i međugeneracijski dijalog. @provjerite_jeste_li_zivi

U Palači Cindro Vlasta Delimar razgovarala je s umjetnicom mlađe generacije Ines Borovac. @lochnesi

Dvadeset pet godina nakon izvorne izvedbe, rad iznova postavlja pitanja prisutnosti ženskog tijela u javnom prostoru i njegove izloženosti društvenom pogledu.

📍 SALON GALIĆ, Marmontova 3, Split @salon_galic
🗓️ Izložba je otvorena do 5. studenoga 2026.
🕓 ponedjeljak – petak: 10:00 – 13:00 i 16:00 – 20:00, subota: 10:00 – 13:00, nedjeljom i praznikom zatvoreno

As part of WHW Akademija’s autumn module in Bihać, this year’s participant, artist Ines Borovac, presented a performance inspired by one of her early works, A Girl, a Lamb and a Sacrifice.

Chopping up a spit-roasted lamb while reciting poetry about prey and predators, the performance reflects on tradition, sacrifice, and the communities shaped by these rituals.

With the participants of the WHW Akademija we visited the stunning Garavice Memorial Park to the Victims of Fascist Terror, which was designed by the architect Bogdan Bogdanović in 1981. It consists of 15 stone columns placed around the crest of Garavice Hill, each formed from a series of carved stone blocks. Engravings on the blocks show patterns and abstract designs, reminiscent of local folk art. Bogdanović wrote about his monument. "My philosophy is very abstract and inspired by ancient dualistic thinking about good and evil."

✨Introducing the artists of @lokaal.lokaal.lokaal x @__tell.me.more__ x @amsterdamdanceevent October 24th @plantagedok ✨

@lochnesi presents ‘Kill is Only a Dinner and Dinner is Not the Entire World’ in collaboration with @grootconcertkooramsterdam , @lola.gzlz , @ming_jou , @anlleelmaria , and @__se.re .

Inspired by Anne Boyer’s When the Lambs Rise Up Against the Bird of Prey, this project begins from the lamb’s position of constant risk, where survival depends on collective sensing and atunement. Boyer’s observation that the predator mistakes a kill for the whole world mirrors today’s systems of ex traction, where those in power entrap the vulnerable within cycles of appetite.
In collaboration with performers and the choir of 40 framing the walls of gallery while singing the Requiem, the artist embodies multiple preys to stage direct power dynamics between predator and prey, exposing how fear shapes bodies, movement, and group identity. Within the flock, time distorts, senses sharpen, and survival emerges as both a strategy and a shared choreography.

Installation views from “Wardrobe Selection for Non-Playable Characters,” series Self-titled (2022–), 2026, installation; photography, cardboard; variable dimensions

for duo show BODY. NORM. RESISTANCE. with Ines Borovac (@lochnesi), curated by Sabina Oroshi (@sabsgram), on view through October 23

photos by Nastasja Miletić

Borrowing from the internet mythology of the “backrooms” — a seemingly infinite, alternate dimension of empty, uncanny, and nostalgic spaces, glitching like a video game character out of bounds, out of standard reality — the work imagines a gallery populated by cardboard figures caught in permanent loops of self-documentation, or “selfies,” appearing in its contemporary iteration as the “fit pic,” a head-to-toe documentation of the body’s styling.

None of these identities is entirely fictional, yet none fully coincides with the artist. As in character selection in video games, each outfit temporarily reprogrammes the way we interpret them. The speed at which these identities replace one another reflects the logic of social media, but also that of the fashion system, within which garments increasingly circulate as images before we ever encounter them as objects, while one fashion collection is almost immediately displaced by the next. The cardboard figure becomes an ideal sculptural form for such a condition, continuing a historical lineage of surrogate bodies.

Distributed throughout the gallery, the figures are choreographed as a sculptural ensemble that evokes the arrangement of bodies in collections of ancient Greek and Roman sculpture. In this sense, the installation becomes a kind of Madame Tussauds, where the bodies of celebrities, commercial figures, and fictional characters are reconstructed not to replace their original or “real” bodies, but to satisfy the public desire to encounter them, photograph them, and further circulate their images.

As each body is occupied with producing its own image, its gaze directed towards the phone it holds, the only socially available subject within the installation becomes the visitor. To enter the gallery is to become the only person capable of making eye contact, recognising another’s presen
