Hallway Before and After

My camera roll is FULL of before pictures of our home, but until you put them side by side, it’s so hard to appreciate just how much of a difference you’ve actually made. 🏡

The way a room can feel lighter, brighter or even bigger just by changing the wallpaper or playing around with different colour combinations amazes me every time. Sometimes you don’t realise how far you’ve come until you look back. 🤍

One thing I know for certain is that my home will never be beige and sterile. We have three children, buckets of toys and millions of memories, and I’m proud of every bit of it. I want our home to reflect that the moment you walk through the door.

I want my children to grow up with memories of a home that feels like home. Somewhere they feel safe, happy and proud to bring their friends when they’re older. A home full of colour, personality, laughter and all the little things that make it uniquely ours.

Will we always be tidy? Absolutely not. 😂 But we’re lived in, we’re loved, and we’re making memories every single day.

And honestly, that’s exactly what I want our home to be. 🏡💕

So… what actually IS a @mingleandhome event?
What is a "Mingle"🥂?

Well, it all started back in November 2024 with 12 Homes and interiors Insta folk, a lovely lunch and a few glasses of fizz!

I’d been missing the social side of office life and thought it would be lovely to get together with some like-minded people who shared my love of homes and interiors. Nothing complicated. Just a chance to meet, chat, have a drink and a laugh and make some new friends!

And somehow, from that first wee get-together, Mingle & Home was born! 💗

Since then we’ve grown from 12 to 30, then 40, and now we’re filling rooms with 100 Minglers! We’ve had fabulous speakers, lovely lunches, brilliant independent businesses, lots of shopping, plenty of fizz and, most importantly, so many new friendships.

We’ve even taken the Mingles to Edinburgh and the @idealhomeshowscotland !

And the thing I love most? So many people come along on their own, not knowing a soul, and leave having made new friends and connections and feeling inspired
That’s really what it’s all about.

So if you’ve ever wondered whether a Mingle might be for you, I hope this wee look back gives you an idea of what we’re all about. You don’t need to work in interiors, have a big Instagram following or know anyone before you come. Just bring yourself and a willingness to have a good time!

🥂 Next up is The Jingle Mingle!
Saturday 14 November at Arta, Glasgow, with @johnamabile @laurajaneclark_ and @artdecojewel . We’ve got some fabulous stalls, goody bags and lots of fun planned.
And we are sponsored by the award winning @thecitrologist Gin and the lighting paradise that is @cotterellandco . How lucky are we!!!
Last tickets are still available!

🥂 And Edinburgh, we’re coming back to you!
Saturday 13 March 2027 at The Scotsman Hotel. Early bird tickets coming soon!

And finally, if you’ve been Mingling with us over the last couple of years, have a wee swipe through — you might even spot yourself! 👀💗

Thank you to everyone who’s come along and helped turn my wee idea into something rather special.

Here’s to lots more Mingling! 🥂💕🏡

See you soon

Anne Marie xx

Padders! Please give a warm welcome to our October guest host - @lock.downhouse 💚

A few words from the lovely lady:

“Hello! I’m Anne Marie from @lock.downhouse, and I’m delighted to be guest hosting here on share_my_pad this month . I live in a Victorian mews house in Glasgow’s West End with my husband Geoff and our fox red Labrador, Paco. Our home is full of deep colours, favourite finds and plenty of lamps — cosy is very much my thing! But you should know until 2020 my home was all beige!! all this colour is new for me! I now love mixing old and new and making our home feel cosy for us. I am looking forward to sharing a wee look around your homes and getting to see some new accounts!! Thanks for having me!!”

Please make sure you all give Anne Marie a follow to play along with @share_my_pad this month 💕 Swipe along to check out her gorgeous home 🏠 🌈
