Stories of addiction and recovery for National Recovery Month ❤️‍🩹 Got to support @brian.wizzz at @jaxxtheatricals with a live performance and screening of Wrath/Mercy (featuring @wakkyjakky and @karamariejd, with @natanyaross in the film adaptation). We then watched @colin.tracy’s Scars, and that one really broke me open. I’ve been navigating my own relationship with scars after my surgery, and the ending brought me to tears in a way I didn’t expect. These are the moments when we see pieces of ourselves reflected back through someone else’s story. ❤️‍🩹 I also got to briefly meet @kellenpembleton and learn more about his project @logorafilm, which just completed a successful Kickstarter campaign! Love seeing artists get to do what they do best—and share their art and stories with us. Thank you, Brian, for bringing so much art into my life! 🧡🚲
