“And it’s a wrap!”

Here we go…photo dump of Rukhsati show and bts.

Thank you for all the wonderful messages still pouring in for “Rukhsati” weeks after our dream run ended at Tara Theatre.

I had written a special thank you note for all of my cast and crew but instagram is saying it’s too long to post on my caption which I’m gutted about. So here’s a short form version ha!

Thank you 🙏
Saqib Deshmukh - Captain of the ship and Writer Extraordinaire
Prashant Tailor - Director par excellence - Fantastic
Ainy Jaffri - Nighat - Partner in crime and rhyme - Outstanding
Andrea Somasundram - Dj Kam Khan - OG in da house
Aisha Deshmukh - Choreographer - Amazing
Jaydev Mistry - Music composer - Ustaad Ji
Malini Raman Middleton - Stage manager - Special talent
Tia Watts - Tech operator - Brilliant
Great Okosun - Production assistant - Good vibes

Last but not the least THANK YOU to our wonderful audience for turning up, selling out and making Rukhsati the most talked about show in London. You are the reason we do this and it was heartwarming to see a mix of regular and first time theatre goers. I will personally never forget our Saturday matinee audience- my mum and her desi elder community aunties that were eating, talking on phones and heckling me during performance but showered me with so many blessings after ha! Absolutely loved them and you all!

There has been a huge demand for future runs of Rukhsati from public and industry. We apologise to anyone that couldn’t get tickets on this run and will look forward to seeing you all on the next run hopefully soon inshallah.

I’m excited for the future of Rukhsati but for now will cherish this experience and not only did I get to play lead on stage for this third run but also served as associate producer which had many learnings, challenges and responsibilities. I stepped up and gave it my all on this run to make it the best show for you all and it turned out to be my most favourite and rewarding run yet.

THANK YOU LONDON ❤️🙏❤️

We had a great production evaluation and team dinner last night at @taabiir_restaurant in #Tooting after our most recent run of #Rukhsati at @tara_theatre It was also @officialhassankhan 40th birthday

We missed @srivibe and @jaydevmistry who had shared their thoughts earlier. Watch this space for future developments about the play and our plans to tour and get it to more venues in London and across England and Wales.

Big shout out to Armin @taabiir_restaurant for hosting us and the delicious kaana/food. It's a little away from the hustle and bustle of Tooting High Street but well worth seeking out.
