It’s DCI Finals. Time to pay respects to Peter. The Kaizen QuadFather

1. Peter Tashjian - 22 - North Hollywood
2. Experience: Gold Indoor ‘22, Redacted Indoor ‘23, ‘24
3. “Why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food?”
4. Most likely cause of death: foot hurty ☹️

From Michael: Sorry I took so long on this dude. A lot of this was me being lazy but a part of me wanted to make this super perfect and there were a lot of bits and ideas. Now it’s like something is better than nothing and my gold mtm just dropped so now I gotta do it. Anyways, this season wouldn’t have been anything without you. You kept us locked in, set the vibe, and supported us all through the season. Love you man, hope your age-out has been peaceful and restful. Your foundation in this quad line will last forever.

A read if you have a moment, crossing a dream that 13 year old Christian had off the list.

- 1/2 Short Version - My most creative solo (still kinda muddy solo)

- 2/2 Long Version - Performing a song I’ve dreamt of since I was a child. I’ll take it for literally only one rehearsal two days before.

Brooklyn - Youngblood Brass Band

I hated trombone. I was 11 years old 4’3. I used to think it was the dumbest instrument. The only entertaining noise I could make was the one where you go from 1st position to 6th position, and then back, but my middle school band director told me I wasn’t half bad at it, so I kept it up. One day the seniors at the high school I’d eventually attend showed me this song. Not only did I start to love the instrument, but I eventually found my voice, and that meant the world to me. Enjoy! (long read my fault)

So working on the thang looks a bit mundane but I’m still gonna find joy in it and be my goofball self. Growth ain’t always glamorous but @samarajoysings got me out here putting in work… geez.

Spain - Chick Corea

Shoutout:

Seth: Drums
Peter: Keys
Michael: Bass

I’ve never really taken a musical project seriously in my life, probably ever. After coming back to school for the 67th time, I decided I really wanted this go around to be the first one I took seriously, and the last one I’ll ever give up on.

It’s by no means perfect, and even gets pretty rough around the edges (thankfully still have a month to work on it) at times, but there never existed a musician that made good sounds before the bad ones. I’m super stoked to sound bad trying to put something great together, and I really appreciate everybody who has been helping me with this!

Anyway, here’s Spain.
