Sometimes, all it takes is a run and a favorite playlist to feel like yourself again. 🎧🏃‍♀️

Between motherhood and the everyday chaos @longrunmama reminds us that taking time for yourself isn’t selfish — it’s essential.

One run. One playlist. A little piece of yourself back. ❤️

Two runners just want to have fun after a 5 mile run together! The witch doctor trend didn’t disappoint. Legitimately made us laugh so hard!

They remembered I ran.
They asked about the race.
They cared about how I did. 🥰

“Did you win?”
“Did you get 2nd?”
“What place did you get?”

And honestly, I love that they’re curious. But the bigger lesson I hope they learn from me is this:

You don’t have to compare yourself to anyone else. You just have to give your best.

As a PE teacher, I talk about this all the time. But I also want to live it — through the way I stay active, challenge myself, celebrate effort, and show up for them every day.

I hope they see that movement isn’t about being the fastest, the strongest, or finishing ahead of someone else.

It’s about showing up.
Doing your best.
Being proud of your effort.
And finding joy in the process. ❤️

That’s the example I hope to give them — not just through what I teach, but through how I live.

Day 8 of 375: The hardest part usually isn’t the workout. It’s taking the first step. 🧡

I live with sleep apnea, so getting out of bed isn’t always easy. Today, after a rough night of sleep, I had 20 miles staring me in the face.

I didn’t feel motivated.

I just started moving.

And maybe that’s what you need today, too.

You don’t need to run 20 miles. You don’t need to crush a workout. You don’t even have to feel ready.

Take a walk. Get outside. Move your body. Take the first step.

Let motivation catch up with you.

What’s one thing you’ve been waiting to feel motivated to do? #runningmotivation #peteacher #runnersofinstagram #marathonprep #getoutside

Right now: sleeping in, mid-day runs, and zero school for 9 more days. Starting today, I’m documenting 365 days of life as a marathon runner and PE teacher where movement is- and always has been- my lifestyle. Today, as Day 1 comes to a close- I feel energized & excited to train and share my love of movement with my students!
