Ruminated Spaces No.2

Now live on @thecanopyat900 !

Another piece in my exploration of form and space, this time I wanted to create something that looked like a library unfolding, a fourth dimensional object that captivated attention, making viewers wanting to peer deeper into its layers. It’s giving quantum!

Special thanks to @ducky3d for creating the tutorial that led me to this piece. Love the @blender.official community !

“Blurring the lines, softening the edges, dissolving the boundaries.” The Canopy’s curator Zac Hall and resident artist Adrian Stein discuss how Reisinger’s Pollen series invites us to experience nature in a new way—not through strict realism, but through emotion and memory.

Now showing on The Canopy at 900 North Michigan Shops.

Life lately.

Life isn’t always a straight line.
It rises, then it dips, both meant to test you.
The ups remind you to celebrate the gift of life.
The downs remind you of your existence.
Each moment, good or bad, is proof that you’re alive and evolving.
Some days make you feel like you’re flying & some make you feel like you’re falling.
Every win & loss shape the path forward.
Purpose doesn’t disappear in the hard times, it sharpens its knife.
& Passion isn’t always loud. Sometimes it whispers, “keep going.”
Through it all, keep choosing the fire inside you that rises from the ash.
Create and destroy.
This is the ride of a lifetime, and I’m here for all of it.

Last night (thanks to @somegreatpeople!) I had the opportunity to preview the new @quantummirrormn experience at @rem5vr, a virtual reality laboratory. Created by Guatemalan new media artist @looneystein (in collaboration with @exactlyzac @necatuss & @artspace8gallery), the immersive, innovative, high-tech art installation has made its way to the Twin Cities after debuting in Chicago earlier this year. The installation invites viewers to (literally) self-reflect on the fracture of our physical and virtual identities through a sensory experience I found to be meditative, transcendent and endorphin-releasing.

Felt only appropriate to wear something super sparkly that would reflect the light! (Note: Be mindful of your attire, as shoes cannot be worn inside the installation and due to the mirrors, most angles are visible.)

While you’re there, you can also play at @rem5vr’s VR stations. Whether you’re curious about the future of immersive tech, seeking a vintage unique gift idea or looking for a fun (and Instagrammable) experience, be sure to check it out! The installation is on view through 1/29/22. Get tickets at quantummirrormn.com
