Book recommendations from my amazing book besties! I met these three incredible women when we needed a place to vent after reading a particularly dreadful ARC. The rest is history! It’s such a joy to live in intentional community, and I love discovering how similar and different our reading tastes can be! Peak girlhood right here! Scroll for books that emotionally ruined us, books that were a damn good time, and books we can’t wait to read!

I hope you’ll follow them all for the best reading recs!

Book Recs from Book Friends

I asked four of my book friends to give book recommendations based on 11 prompts.

Each of us recommended very different books, and while there’s some overlapping titles across categories, there weren’t any repeats within each individual category.

One thing was clear throughout, though: we all love fantasy, fantasy romance, and romantasy books!

What recommendations would you have said?

QOTD: What’s your favorite gladiator vibes fantasy book?

Life in the perilous Thorn district is a constant battle for Arvelle and her younger brothers. And the vampire standing on her doorstep is about to turn their world upside down.

Faced with an unthinkable choice, Arvelle makes a magically binding vow to do the impossible: kill the emperor, an ancient vampire created by the god Umbros. But first, she must enter the Sundering—an arena where only the fastest, strongest, and deadliest survive long enough to be selected for the emperor’s elite guard.

She quickly draws the ire of the Primus, the powerful figure charged with protecting the emperor. But the vampire under the armor is the last person Arvelle expects to encounter in the emperor’s court.

With her brothers’ lives in the balance, Arvelle has no choice but to ally with the man who once shattered her heart… and with the emperor’s sadistic son, Rorrik—two vampires whose motives are impossible to pin down. Rorrik holds the key to understanding the powers Arvelle is developing—abilities that would put a price on her head if discovered by the emperor.

To survive the arena and complete her mission, Arvelle must get to the bottom of a conspiracy that will change everything she thought she knew about herself—and the two vampires who are deeply entwined with her destiny. #fyp #enemiestolovers #arc #arcreader #currentlyreading #slowburnbooks #booktok #forcedproximitybookrecs #fantasyromance #gladiators #bookstagram #netgalley

In honour of October I, Raquel, bring you a series called Freaky Friday, where each Friday, during the month, I'll bring you a series of books recs honoring Halloween in collaboration with different bookstagrammers.

This week to start, I and @looselipslibrary bring you monster romance recs.

These are humanoid alike monsters, from minotaurs to orcs, dragons, and even bigfoot.
You are sure to find one book, at least, that will pique your interest.

If you've read any of this comment down, bellow your opinion.
Also, thanks to @looselipslibrary for collaborating with me in this and helping me pick out a name.

Would you rather challenge:)
I was tagged by the amazing @interestdujour in this challenge!

📚 Only read the first or the last page of a book?

Ooooh this is hard, I feel like the first page of the book because I don’t think I’d be too disappointed but if I read the very last page I would need to know everything that happened up until that point!

📚 Read a book with an unclear ending or a heartbreaking one?

I would much rather read a heartbreaking ending because I could just cry myself to sleep😂 I can’t stand unclear endings where I’m still questioning everything.

📚 Read the same genre forever or only one book from each genre?

I would probably want to read one book from each genre because I tend to get antsy just reading the same genre over and over again.

📚 Read a well-written book with a bad story or a badly written book with a great story?

I would much rather read a badly written book with a great story because I overlook writing style really easy if I love the plot and the characters. If a story is bad I’m just uninterested the entire time so it would be pointless!

📚 Only read new books or only reread books?

I would 100% want to read new books instead of rereading books because I don’t reread books😬 I probably should but I’m also trying to read every book ever written but that’s impossible and I don’t want to read something I have already!

What about you? I tagged a few friends, but again feel free to ignore or join in if you want! ❤️

I also included some goofy pictures of me when I was in Vegas with books in them and then a cute little bookstore I found when I was in Savannah:)
