VESSEL: A Gathering of Clay, Craft & Ceremony | August 28–30 · Boulder, CO

Join us for a weekend dedicated to the craft of fine teaware and fine tea, exploring where they meet in ceremony.

Five ceramicists have spent months crafting fine wares for this event: Michael Sharf (@michaelgsharf), Arturo Alvarez (@your_teapot), Mitch Iburg (@mitchiburgceramics), Clare Fawn (@clare.fawn), and Cooper Jeppesen (@hearth.tea.and.table). Alongside them, we’ll pour from the full breadth of Living Tea’s collection, including rare aged Vault teas that have never before been shared publicly.

Throughout the weekend, guided sits invite you to go deeper into different aspects of a life of tea: from philosophy and ritual to brewing methods and elemental frameworks. Ticket holders receive priority for purchasing wares and limited teas during the public windows.

Vessel is a gathering we’ve been putting together for months.

Fine tea, fine teaware, and the ceremony where they meet. Two weekends, two cities. August 28-30 in Boulder. September 3-5 in Denver.

Several ceramicists have spent months crafting pieces specifically for this event. Each maker brings their own style and approach, and the wares they’re bringing won’t be available anywhere else. A rare chance to hold and take home something you won’t find elsewhere.

Alongside the ceramics, we’ll be pouring from the full breadth of the Living Tea collection, including a first glimpse of rare aged Vault teas that have never been shared with the public. These are teas we’ve held back for years, waiting for the right occasion.

Each sit runs 1.5 hours and is ticket-holder only. Ticket holders also get priority to purchase teaware and limited teas during open hours.

Vessel is a gathering of that kind of stillness. Two weekends inside the practice of tea.

Five ceramicists who spent months making pieces specifically for this event, alongside guided sits that cover everything from Following the Way of Tea and Starting a Tea Practice to Tea Tasting, the 5 Elements, Gongfu Cha, Methods of Brewing, and Rare Aged Puerh. Sits pour from Vault teas that have never been shared publicly (1.5 hours each, limited to 18 seats).
