Michaela Keller-Miller has announced her retirement from Nordic ski racing professionally 🥹 We have been a proud sponsor of Craftsbury Green Racing Project Athlete, Michaela, since summer of 2021!! During this time, she has worn our logo on her headwear, put on numerous training clinics for us here in the Twin Cities, skied on Marwe roller skis, skied with our sponsored KV+ poles, and always kept us in the loop with her captivating blogs. If you ever came to a clinic of hers, you know how much fun they are, and how great of an athlete Michaela is! And if you’re one of the few that have never read one of her blogs… you should go catch up now, and read the latest one while you’re at it! Michaela - it has been so fun cheering you on these last 5 seasons. Watching you chase big goals, try new things, bounce back from injuries, travel the world, and so so much more - has been so rewarding, and we are very proud of you 🫶 See you on the trails!

Already feeling so much love here at @vanhoevenberg for World Cup Finals. And the fun hasn’t even started yet! I’ll be competing in all three races this weekend and my goal is to EMBRACE this ski community! The last time the World Cup was on home soil was at the @loppetcup in Minneapolis in 2024. The event brought me so many happy tears and convinced me that I needed to move back to my Midwest ski community. I feel so fortunate to have had the support from @teambirkie for the past two years. The team was instrumental in my success last year at World Champs and there to catch me when I fell short of my Olympic goal this season. @teambirkie is working to provide athletes the opportunity to pursue their goals and a lot of this comes down to financial support. We’re currently at the tail end of our fundraising season and are looking to set the stage for next year. If you’re in a position to do so, please consider a donation to Team Birkie OR enter our sweepstakes for a chance to win a @trekbikes of your dreams! Summer is just around the corner and I already entered. 😏 I’ve included both links in my bio. Every amount counts! 🙏🏼 Can’t wait to leave it all out there this weekend! 🩷 📷: @ava_thurston

Big thank you to @jessiediggins for creating this awesome pre-recorded video earlier this winter for this weekend's Junior Qualifier & SuperTour athletes at Theodore Wirth! The Loppet Junior Qualifier and SuperTour is a U.S. Ski & Snowboard sanctioned event where athletes ages 10 and up have the opportunity to compete at a high level under professional standards. The U.S. Ski and Snowboard SuperTour presented by the National Nordic Foundation is recognized by FIS as the Continental Cup for the United States—the highest level of competition in the country. Top racers compete head-to-head in a variety of disciplines across the country, with World Cup start spots and funding on the line. We join Jessie in wishing all those competing this weekend good luck!

The only season preview you need: The Diggins Collapse Index presents the draft for the 2025/2026 season. "With a fresh season," writes the Index, "comes fresh gimmicks. For the first time ever, The Index appointed two team captains. These captains selected World Cup athletes based on a combination of out-of-date vibes (from the American captain Fast Big Dog) and questionable math (from the Swedish captain Anna)." You can probably fill in the rest. Actually, you probably truly cannot. So you should read The Index's musings in full. Then hie yourself to @digginscollapseindex and cast your vote. Article up now; link in bio. (photo: you know who doing you know what, Loppet Cup, February 2024: @dustinsatloff // @usskiteam)

Current state of the ski shrine. Additions in the near future to include Jack's first race bib and Barnebirkie medal. His first Main Street Hayward finish of many! Can't wait for the next World Cup Race in the US to meet more of our friends! #crosscountryskiing #birkiefever

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯-𝟮𝟰 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝘂𝗽, 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀, 𝗠𝗡⁣ ⁣ Nearly 90 days have passed since the conclusion of this first Cross Country World Cup event on US snow in how many ever years … and I am not any closer to finding appropriate words to encapsulate the myriad of emotions as each new day quietly whispered - 𝘗𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦 𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 - and nonchalantly topped the experience of the day before.⁣ ⁣ Grateful for the serendipitous connections that got me to the event, experience first hand the Swiss (Timing) efficiency, witness the course-side action and objectively observe the crème de la crème as part of the FIS Technique and Obstruction Control Team, scrape and brush the wax off of one ski (𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘦 𝘢 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘊𝘶𝘱 𝘞𝘢𝘹 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵?), ski the distance course (after the festivities, of course, and it was not easy), meet folks I had only seen or heard of before, and make new friends.⁣ ⁣ Thanks be to the countless hours of work the organizers and volunteers invested to make that event a reality. A Winter in which most of us didn’t get our fill of skiing, this was yet another stellar highlight!

Moving back to Minnie! Excited to share that I’ll be joining @teambirkie this year. Things felt off this past winter and I couldn’t pin point what it was. When I showed up to the Minneapolis World Cup and felt the warmth, love, and enthusiasm from the crowd, no matter what my result or performance looked like, I found a piece of what I had been missing. I can’t wait to strengthen my roots with this beautiful community and see what’s next for us all. 💙 📷: @gpowersfilm #teambirkie #midwestisbest
