What a wrap on Day 2 of CANTO’s 41st Conference in📍Punta Cana.

I caught up with a few familiar faces, extended courtesies above and hospitality beyond, kept one of my liaison Gov’t Minister’s company while he enjoyed a late lunch (because why would I leave him to sit alone!) and generally just took everything in.

I’ve learnt quite a bit about the ICT industry and some of the key movers and shakers. The absence of T&T representation is unfortunate.

We ended off with some much needed down time (and alco!) at the cocktail reception.

Beets by Kim is officially a finalist at the Gourmand Cookbook Awards 2025! 🇹🇹

In a couple weeks I’ll be heading to Saudi Arabia for the World Cookbook Awards and the Saudi Food Festival!

It’s an honor to represent Trinidad and Tobago on this global culinary stage and I absolutely can’t wait to celebrate food, culture, and creativity with chefs and authors from around the world!!

What an accomplishment and honor it is to be recognized on a global stage. This nomination is a tremendous honor, placing Beets by Kim among the Best Cookbooks in the World. The recognition highlights not only the recipes but also the cultural heritage, storytelling, and traditions that inspired this work.This journey has been filled with hard work, dedication, deep love for beetroot and a passion for celebrating both Trinidadian and Caribbean flavors and traditions. I am so grateful to see it resonating beyond our shores.
