“There is Something About Mary” by @mauroperucchetti med: chainmail and mixed media life-size. THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT MARY

In this artwork I am exploring fate and the ethereal yet powerful and mystical figures associated with it as we know them.
I find all religions to be guidelines with a similar message: BEHAVE!
Is the chainmail there to protect or to restrain?
In THERE IS SOMETHING ABOUT MARY I see a holy figure constrained by the ideology of people and the manmade rules appointed to it by their chosen religious screenplay.
After all Religions are manmade and this is what I am suspicious of. #sculptor #mauroperucchetti #religionismanmade #artbasel #artoftheday

Art Stage Singapore interview on my original concept of my iconic Jelly Babies Cloning and medical ethics inspired by Dolly the sheep which I found terrifying and fascinating.
I used the Jelly Baby as a in personification of humans.
Clones for the purpose of what?

Retrospective of my works of art in my studio.
With a lifetime of R&D and experimenting in different mediums and inventing my own.
I have always felt a real artist should have the skills of the masters drawing, painting and sculpting.
I have had immense challenges with my works as I am a perfectionist. The production cost are enormous as my wife art Director always mentions to my collectors that I have Jeff Koons production cost but not prices😢
My new work inspired by the Light and Space moment was a huge challenge it took me one full year to complete. Months and months of arduous sanding and polishing🥵
Now it’s time to put my 7 feet tall totems into the right gallery who will champion these works! @gagosian @hauserandwirth @pacegallery #sculptor #artistsoninstagram #painter #resinsculpture #gagosiangallery
