No better words I could think of than some advice I said to Emmie the night before she married the love of her life! 🩷

Always lean on Christ for the answer.
At the center of everything we do, Jesus has always been the answer. My prayer is that you carry that into your marriage and, one day, into the family you build together. Jesus’ hand has been over your life, Emmie, for as long as I can remember. And I am so grateful that I get to stand here and watch this next phase of your life, the one He so intentionally and meticulously planned, unfold right in front of me. There is a verse in Ecclesiastes that says, “Two are better than one,” because when one falls, the other is there to help them up. And Emmie, Jesus has been by your side your whole life. I am forever grateful that He chose me to be your sister and chose our parents to be our parents. How blessed are we to serve a God who is so intentional with our lives? I can’t help but acknowledge the path God led you on to meet TD, and I am so grateful for the impact TD has had on your life.
Emmie, I am so lucky I get to call you my sister. I have watched you grow into the woman you are today, and I could not be more proud of you.
And TD, I am so grateful that you are the person she gets to do life with.
I cannot wait to watch the two of you build a life filled with love, laughter, faith, and probably a lot of texts asking if everyone is okay.
I love you both so much, and I am so excited for everything that is ahead of you.
So TD, welcome to the family…and good luck.

Jesus saves 🤍

Amen!!!! This summer I went in for a routine heart catheterization. During this recent procedure, there was a complication which led me to spending a week in the ICU, where I had 3 heart catheterizations within the span of three days and a collapsed lung. Before going into my 3rd cath, the anesthesiologist asked me what music I wanted to listen to and I told him Riley Green. The last thing I remember before falling asleep was Jesus Saves playing — and indeed he does. Now this song has become a testimony to my life. I also want to thank every single person who came to visit me, prayed for me, and stood by me through this storm. Your love, prayers, and presence meant more than words can ever express.
God is good. Always.
