When the event has a waitlist for volunteers - you know it’s something special. ✨

I cannot say enough about the magic of @rockcutultra race weekend. The energy, the laughs, the ruggedly beautiful trails and the fantastic volunteers & organizers - it’s just SO GOOD.

I love this weekend for many reasons, but getting to share it with my family takes the top spot. ♥️

This year I set a goal to try and hit a PB at the Rockcut Half. Sparing the details, the changes that can occur when 40 hits were real tough last year, ((🫠)) and I wanted to prove to myself that I can still get stronger and faster. I worked hard with my brilliant friend and @mile2marathon coach @katheryncochrane (thank you - I even enjoyed most of the many hill sprints up Divorce Hill), and managed to shave nearly 17 minutes off my previous time.

An extra fun bonus was sharing the podium with @tc_humphrey to take top male and female in the race! 🥇👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏽🤩

A gigantic THANK YOU to the race organizers, volunteers and all the trail running pals who make these events super fun and possible. Thank you to @sturgephotography and @lorimoss.ca for sharing your photography gifts out on the trails. See you next year, friends! ✌🏽

I went walk-about a few days ago in picturesque Salvage, it was cold and windy but perfect. One of my favorite places to hike and get these great views on the @Damnable Trail gives a breath taking vantage point of Burden’s Point, a historical part of the town and the Eastport Peninsula. Definitely 10/10 recommend visiting! I’m lucky enough to live 10 minutes away.
