…and some days you play “Neon Moon” for Brooks & Dunn themselves, backstage, sung in Louisiana French by special request by the one and only @davidbegnaud for his @cbsmornings segment “Beg-Knows”; great interview David!. “La vie d’un musicien c’est quelque chose qu’est bien jolie” as Nathan Abshire put it.

Here are some random photos from this weekend at Festivals Acadiens et Créoles in Lafayette, LA!

Oh boy, oh boy! This weekend was so wonderful. I mean, WONDERFUL!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth, printed with Aaron and me, and chatted with us. It was such a joy to spend the weekend with y’all!

If you haven’t had a chance to visit Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, do yourself a favor and put it on your calendar for next year. It’s a FREE festival with so much music, amazing food, and incredible artists. It’s also wonderfully hyperlocal. Lafayette is one of those places that is so culturally rich and unique, and this festival celebrates all of it.

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who organized the festival, and to the Louisiana Crafts Guild for putting together the arts and crafts section. Y’all were organized, professional, and so generous! Also, those Gatorade slushies were the BEST thing. 😂

And a big shout-out to my wonderful neighbors: Amber Herbert, Emma Broussard, Jen and Caleb Gallett, and Jeni Battaglia-Guidry. It was so much fun spending the weekend next to y’all and getting to know you!

Already looking forward to next year! 💛
