Grateful to everyone who joined in this week’s #FIREFRIDAYS 🔥 Especially the parents, caretakers and caregivers 🙏🏽

I don’t have kids of my own yet, but through the work I do with students, it’s been really special seeing the love you share through 👟 🥹

Thank you for everything you pour into the younger generation 📚 it’s truly appreciated and beautiful to witness 💐

Enjoy last week’s #HEATlights and hoping to run this one back soon 🫂

See you tomorrow for #FIREFRIDAYS and my first LIVE @ 630/930est talking the 👟 you wore and where your sneaker journey started 🔥

If I didn’t learn this lighting trick 10 years ago, these photos wouldn’t exist ⬇️

📸 A few weeks ago I photographed Hidden’s pop up at Extra Butter in collaboration with UGG & walking in I immediately realized this wasn’t going to be a typical event to shoot.

🔦 The entire ceiling had been transformed into a projection-mapped installation, filling the space with hypnotic visuals & sound. The room had to stay extremely dark for the installation to be seen properly, while the shoes were displayed under very harsh pin lighting.Beautiful environment, but tricky conditions to photograph.

‼️ Moments like this force you to think creatively. Direct flash would’ve destroyed the atmosphere of the room, so for better flexibility, I used my @godox_global V1 to shape the light & balance the exposure between the shoes & the environment. By placing the light around the room, like on the red curtains, helped preserve the mood while still showing where the pop up was taking place.

🙏 Before I ever picked up a camera professionally, my mentor taught me that lighting is everything. Learning how to shape light is what allows you to turn difficult environments into photographs that actually tell the story of the space. I later applied that to my portraits, events & even footwear.

If you enjoy this type of content where I share my experiences as a photographer, drop a comment, I’d love to hear from you! 🙌

Thank You @hidden.ny 👁️

After putting it off for far too long, I have finally decided to share my Sneaker Shots 📸.

It’s only right to start by sharing an amazing group of people that shoes has brought me close to. These guys/gal are some of the nicest you’ll ever meet and will always offer their help when they can.

Not all are pictures and when the time is right, we will definitely all be doing a massive Nando’s meet up🍗. Hopefully it will be for another @offspringhq pick up day like the one pictured.

Featuring @thelostdoctorsneakers
・・・
There are some kicks I believe are works of art - the @nike x @clot AF1s firmly belong in that category. I had to pay resale for these after missing out from a bunch of raffles - but absolutely worthy investments. Shoe of 2019?
