How is January treating you so far? Me? I feel so behind already, and we are only 10 days in to the new year 🤦🏻‍♀️

Case in point: I was supposed to share my street team the same day they did…3 days ago! Sigh. Better late than never.

🍄What is your first read of October?🍄

I finished The Hero of Ages which is the final book in the Mistborn Era 1 trilogy and I think I’ll need a dedicated post for that series later on. It was phenomenal but I still haven’t emotionally recovered. So I decided to jump into Ali Hazelwood, Two Can Play audio novella as something light to kick off my October.

🍄Do you look up book reviews before reading a book?🍄

I do! I find that book reviews will usually motivate be to want to read a book, even some of the lower starred ones. I love it when reviewers write what tropes are expected because it helps me choose what books I want to read and it’s also helps me avoid DNF’s!

🍄What is your favorite retelling?🍄

I am obsessed with Greek Mythology, so any retellings from Greek Myth is a must read for me. Some of my favorites though are Hades & Persephone, and Eros & Psyche. I’ve been so happy seeing that there’s more retellings popping up now!

I just picked up a dark academia/dark romance book called Cross My Heart. But I also have The Wrong Game & Indigo Blue that I’m starting!

🍄What book are you obsessed with right now?🍄

I’ve been in a weird book slump lately, but I’ve finally read a book that had me on the edge of my seat. The Family Experimentby John Marrs. The thing that I love about his books he writes in this futuristic world is how outlandish it is, and yet not completely unbelievable. This book in specific revolves around the Metaverse and the dangers of AI. HOWEVER, tread carefully because this book was DARK.

I feel like every time I’m ready to come back to social media 100% something happens. I had some releases planned for last week and I got hit with the nastiest sinus infection. My immune system is really bad and it was taking me a hot minute to get better. I’m still not 100% but I am feeling a lot better than I was last week!

Also a huge thank you to my reps, the authors I’m working with, and the customers who were so understanding of me needing to take some time to recover!
