A few weeks ago we got (almost) the whole team together for a purpose + values session. The lights were dark.. the vibe definitely wasn’t 🤭

When we first opened over two years ago, we had a set of values that we wrote on our one page strategic plan, an extension of the CorePlus Values, what we wanted our team to feel like. Fast forward, a whole lot of growth and an incredible team later… we wanted to lock in stronger with them.

Over the last few months, we’ve been reworking them into something that felt more connected to where we are and where we’re going. The CorePlus purpose will always be our North Star, but these are the values that shape how we show up for each other inside our little studio every day.

Getting everyone in a room to chat through them, challenge them, add to them and bring them to life was honestly just really special.

We barely took any photos but it was one of those afternoons that left us feeling really grateful. To be surrounded by these amazing people we’re super lucky and so is the community they build within these walls ❤️

IN BETWEEN SESSIONS

1. Enjoy the freckle and move on.
Might not seem like a big deal but in the past this would have sent me 😡 getting something so small with my coffee. Point being, there is life on the other side when you lose the obsession with food and your body.

2 + 3 My beautiful friends and husband conspired to surprise me with the best weekend ever! Good food, Quality time and booking us all in for facials = my love language
So good, it actually felt like my birthday

4. The best day @tradehouseaus in person event.
Trading 📈is more fun with friends

5. Sunrise walks

6. NZ Easter eating in the best restaurants

7. An evening with Bessel

8. Baby shower for the latest addition to the Darnell family

9. The prettiest sunset + HGW

10. NZ chasing waterfalls

11. Hux party fun 🛥️

12. Girl dinner, alien abductions, dreams and conspiracies

This is a highlight reel. I fill my life with things that light me up, I am so fortunate to do work I love and learn to trade from the GOATs.
There’s the other side of the coin we don’t see.
The last 18 months moving to the Sunshine Coast to be with my love, has been some of the hardest times of my life in terms of feeling lonely. Alongside grieving relationships with family I chose to go no contact and old friendships. It’s taken me 18 months to finally feel like I’ve met my people here and found a group of epic humans here while my closer friends lived 3+ hours away. Working from home by myself and having very little connection during the day has been so challenging.

Point being don’t compare yourself to someone’s social media. No matter how much they preach how good it is, people have struggles they tell no one about. It’s ok to have them, just as it’s ok to reach out for support and stop trying to ‘handle it’ on your own 🤍 there’s no trophy for hyper independence (believe me I’ve tried to win it 😂)

First weekend of training done with @coreplus_schoolofmovement and I have a whole new level of respect for the Pilates practice!

There’s something very humbling about being a beginner again. I'm learning beyond well beyond my comfort zone and being completely humbled in the process.

I’m also SO grateful to be surrounded by an abundance of Pilates teachers in my community, and some familiar faces in the training. We are all leaning on each other for support, guidance, and inspiration and that makes my heart sing.

Who would have thought this Yoga teacher, and now also becoming obsessed with Pilates. (my marketplace feed is now just showing me reformers lol)

Cant wait for next weekend ✌️ 🧡

Over the weekend I had the honour of sharing space on retreat with the incredible @ericafrenchacupuncture

offering yin on Friday evening and waking the body through Qi Gong on Saturday morning.

But as always..
it was never just what was offered,
it was what was felt.

The quiet potency woven through every moment of this retreat created by Erica.

Ritual and ceremony held so thoughtfully..
from cacao to breath..
sound immersion @melina.lynde to shared meals @tavola_by_michelle_liana ..
Energy renewal with @paula__mack ..
a beautiful flower bathing ceremony..
each thread placed with such intention.

All of it held so gently within the land at
@thefrangipanifarm,
which felt like a sanctuary in itself.

What stayed with me most..

was the openness.

Women across different seasons of life,
meeting one another with such honesty,
such courage,
such willingness to be seen.

And underneath it all,
this deep remembering..

that when we begin to truly connect with ourselves,
to soften the armour,
to listen inward…

connection with others unfolds naturally.

From a place of fullness,
rather than depletion.

There was a sense of coming home..
to the body,
to intuition,
to something ancient that lives beneath the stories we carry.

Stories held in tissue,
in energy,
in lineage..

and the quiet, powerful choice
to release what is no longer ours to hold.

To return to what is true.

To essence.

✨

So much gratitude to Erica,
for the care, the vision, the integrity she brings to this work 🙏

and to every woman who showed up with an open heart.

It was a beautiful weekend.

Held by the land,
by the elements,
and somehow..

by perfect weather,
as if it too was part of the ceremony.
