Why do we make such a big deal about our DR-led toxin clinics? 👩‍⚕️ Because botulinum toxin used for aesthetic treatment is a Prescription Only Medicine — and prescribing injectable cosmetic medicines requires proper clinical assessment. How does it look? Face to face with dr Lou ——- treatment plan ——- treatment —- aftercare. All provided in one simple Dr Led appointment . A face-to-face consultation isn’t there to make booking more difficult. It’s an important patient-safety step that allows your prescriber to assess your medical history, suitability, anatomy and treatment requirements before deciding whether prescribing is appropriate. At THE AESTHETIXX FIXX, our toxin clinics run alongside Dr Lou, with face-to-face medical consultation and individual treatment planning. 📍 Porthcawl — Tuesdays 📍 Cardiff — Mondays, Thursdays & Saturdays No conveyor-belt faces. No one-size-fits-all dosing. No cutting corners. Just responsible aesthetics with your safety, anatomy and results at the centre of the treatment plan. You’ve probably heard about NAD+. You might even be taking it orally. But what’s actually reaching your cells? Oral NAD+ precursors; NMN, NR, all of them, face a significant problem before they ever reach your cells. Gut absorption is limited. A meaningful portion is metabolised in transit. What arrives is a fraction of what you took. IV NAD+ has no transit problem. It goes directly into your bloodstream. The plasma concentrations are in a different category entirely. The difference isn’t marginal. It’s the whole point. What people report during an IV NAD+ infusion at Revive: → Mental clarity that kicks in mid-session → A noticeable shift in energy within hours → Improved focus that carries into the following days → Better quality sleep in the nights after This isn’t placebo. NAD+ is the coenzyme your mitochondria use to produce ATP. When cellular levels are restored to a meaningful concentration, the machinery works better. That’s biochemistry, not wellness. Who it’s for: NAD+ IV at Revive is prescribed by Dr. Louise following a clinical assessment, used within longevity, cognitive performance, and recovery protocols where your data supports it. If you’re training hard, pushing cognitively, or simply feel like your energy hasn’t been the same, this conversation is worth having. NAD+ IV from — £280 High doses available for more intensive protocols and where clinically indicated. 📍 Cardiff | Book a FREE consultation via link in bio — revivemed.uk Prescribed and administered under clinical supervision. Suitable candidates assessed at consultation. Close-up of a clinical IV bag and drip chamber against a black background, lit with a bright green rim light. Tubing runs down from the giving set. 13 million women in the UK are in perimenopause or menopause right now. Most are managing it without a single piece of hormonal data. That’s not a lifestyle problem. It’s an information problem. A single hormone test, on the wrong day of your cycle, read against a population reference range, tells you almost nothing useful. Oestradiol fluctuates across the month. Progesterone is only meaningful in the luteal phase. FSH dips and surges unpredictably during perimenopause. One snapshot, read in isolation, will either falsely reassure or unnecessarily alarm. Context and pattern matter more than any single number. A few markers that are consistently misread in women: 1. FSH Elevated FSH is not a menopause diagnosis. During perimenopause it can be high one month and normal the next. A single result in a symptomatic woman in her 40s is a reason to investigate, not a conclusion. 2. Testosterone Almost never tested in women. Almost always relevant. Low testosterone is associated with fatigue, low libido, poor recovery, reduced lean mass, and flat mood. None of these are inevitable. They are addressable, if someone measures them. 3. Cortisol As oestrogen declines, the HPA axis becomes more reactive. The same life stress hits harder biologically. Elevated cortisol further suppresses oestrogen and progesterone. You cannot read a female hormone panel without it. 4. Free T3 Thyroid dysfunction and perimenopause share almost identical symptom profiles. TSH alone is not enough. Free T3 tells you what the thyroid is actually outputting. Missing it is one of the most common reasons perimenopausal symptoms don’t respond to HRT. How we read a female hormone panel at Revive: - Markers read together, as a system - Clinical history and cycle timing factored in - Every result reviewed by Dr. Louise O’Gorman — not ai or an algorithm - A protocol built around what the data actually shows We offer two panels for women who want the full picture. Find out more via link in bio. 📍 Cardiff | revivemed.uk These panels complement your GP care and do not replace NHS investigation or treatment.

Is it just excessive sweating? Why we check your bloods first. Male | 28 Years Old | CrossFitter | Training as an Athlete. Sweating through sessions, sweating at night, feeling drained. Came in wanting treatment for excessive sweating and nothing more. WHY WE DIDN’T JUST TREAT IT. Excessive sweating like that has a differential. Could be Thyroid. Could be something in the full blood count. Or it could be genuinely nothing and just how his body runs. You don’t know until you delve deeper. Plenty of clinics would’ve booked him straight in. We ran bloods first. WHAT WE FOUND Ferritin came back high. Not borderline. Properly elevated. That’s not a “keep an eye on it” number. That’s a “let’s find out why” number. THE WORKING DIAGNOSIS Haemochromatosis — a genetic iron overload condition. At 28 it’s not what you expect to find. The gene itself is common, but most men don’t load enough iron to show symptoms until their forties or fifties. The initial view was that it wasn’t worth chasing. I didn’t agree. NOW WHAT? Referred to a liver specialist. Biopsy confirmed early-stage haemochromatosis. OUTCOME Caught before it could do real damage to his liver, heart or joints. The specialist called it an excellent catch. THE POINT We test before we treat. Subclinical isn’t fine. It’s early. — Dr Louise O’Gorman, Medical Director Something not adding up? Fatigue, sweating, anything that should be normal but doesn’t feel it? We run a range of blood tests to find the root cause. DM us or book a consultation and we’ll tell you which one’s right for you. Shared with the client’s consent. #PrivateBloodTests #Haemochromatosis #CardiffClinic #PreventiveMedicine Revive Medical Cardiff case study — high ferritin blood test result leading to early haemochromatosis diagnosis.

🧬 CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: WHAT YOUR BLOODS KNOW BEFORE YOU DO 🧬 Ceris booked our Advanced Baseline. No symptoms. No red flags. She was just curious about her health and wanted a proper baseline. That curiosity paid off. Dr Lou reviewed her results and spotted something most panels would miss, but it was enough to flag for monitoring; slightly abnormal SHBG and T3 levels. Subtle, but enough for Dr Lou to diagnose subclinical hyperthyroidism and recommend close monitoring. Re-testing confirmed Ceris had developed hyperthyroidism, caught early, before it became a a bigger problem. Right data. Right call. Right treatment. Ceris finally felt like herself again. “Dr Lou’s report was honestly fantastic, her diagnostic ability is incredible. So many people are misdiagnosed or diagnosed too late, I dread to think where I’d be without her. I’ll be recommending her and Revive to everyone I know.” — Ceris This is proactive preventive healthcare. Not waiting for symptoms. Not guessing. Clear data, doctors who take the time to read results, and action before it’s a problem. Data-led medicine. Real work-ups. Real results. Saturday reset, done right 😎💪 Evidence-based high dose glutathione + NAC IV to detox and defend, then straight into the compression boots to flush and recover. Overtraining isn’t fixed by rest alone. It’s oxidative stress and fatigue building up faster than your body can clear it. NAC restocks glutathione and helps scavenge the free radicals driving that fatigue, while compression drives circulation to clear the rest. In through the veins. Out through the legs. Full-body reset in one session. This is what recovery looks like when you take it seriously. 📍 Book your Saturday reset — link in bio. #PerformanceMedicine #ReviveMedical #RecoveryProtocol #MasterAntioxidant #TrainRecoverRepeat The Science: A systematic review and meta-analysis found NAC supplementation significantly reduces post-exercise muscle soreness and lactate concentration. 1 in 3 people training regularly has suboptimal ferritin. Not low haemoglobin. Not anaemia. Suboptimal ferritin; the stored form of iron your mitochondria depend on to produce energy at a cellular level. And the majority have absolutely no idea. Here’s what makes this so easy to miss: you can have completely normal haemoglobin pass a standard blood test with flying colours and still have ferritin levels that are silently tanking your performance, your recovery, and your focus. For active individuals, we aim for ferritin above 70 µg/L. The usual lower reference limit? 15 µg/L. That’s not a small gap. That’s the difference between running on full and running on fumes. Symptoms of suboptimal ferritin look like: → Persistent fatigue that training harder doesn’t fix → Slower recovery between sessions → Brain fog, especially mid-afternoon → Breathlessness at intensities that used to feel easy → Plateaued performance despite consistent effort Ferritin is one of the first markers we look at in every Revive Baseline. Because if you don’t know your number, you’re guessing. 📍 Cardiff | Doctor-led diagnostics 🔗 Book your Revive Baseline — link in bio Source: Burden RJ et al.
