September 🍂

I find myself taking less and less pictures.

I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.

Bring on spooky season please.

Last week I flew to Minneapolis to meet up with Bane and spend the rest of the week with them. The last time I did that was 10 years ago. When they stopped playing in 2016 I thought that part of my life was behind me. Last week reminded me why I still love and need those experiences. I’m so glad Bane are still here for the long time fans and friends as much as for the people still discovering them for the first time. It was an honor and a privilege to spend that time with them. Endless thanks and gratitude to those guys for treating me like one of them.

This shot is from the Ionia Freak Fair last week with two of the best people I’ve met through the world of Bane and hardcore. #ioniafreakfair #billystrings #bane

While musically not a style I find much to connect with I had a good time seeing people enjoy themselves amongst quite a diverse crowd. Endless respect to Mr. Strings for not only hosting the biggest event his hometown has ever seen but for also putting the profits right back into the city. #ioniafreakfair #billystringslive

Chuck Ragan singing Fazer with Quicksand in Toronto. I’m not a big HWM fan but this was still so awesome to be witness to. #quicksand #hotwatermusic #punkroxk #posthardcore #toronto

Venue for the Toronto Bane/Quicksand show was a gymnasium in a church basement. The AC broke yet it was still one of the most unique and best sounding shows I think I’ve ever been to. #quicksand #bane #hardcore #diy #bringonthepsychics

Two more wonderful guys I’ve met through the Bane world who were a nice surprise to see at the St. Paul show all the way from Houghton, MI! #bane #punkrock #hardcore #UPHC #houghton
