I thought I had to have it all worked out before I started. It turns out that was the wrong way round. Love the Question began as something I did just for me: a private writing practice, asking questions I didn’t have answers to. Then it started reaching people, and I realised the things I thought were mine alone were felt by so many others. Connecting over that became the part I love most. Now it’s a weekly newsletter and interview series about how we move through uncertainty: career changes, loss, grief, starting over, building something new. What I’ve learned is that people don’t come for answers. They come to feel seen. That’s the whole thing, really. You don’t have to have it figured out to start moving. What’s the question you’re living with at the moment?

Creativity isn’t exclusive to ‘artists’, it’s something we can all access! Research shows that just 45 minutes of being creative lowers cortisol and calms the nervous system. When I feel bit ‘off’ or experience brain fog, doing something creative, whether it’s writing, sketching or colouring, always helps me to get out of the funk. In this week’s episode of Our Core Things Katie Briefel, a Brand Strategist, Writer and Host of Love the Question talks about how writing helped her to move through difficult emotions when her dad was in the hospital. We chat about the power of creativity, overcoming the fear of being seen and more! This is for you if: - You’re trying to overcome the fear of being seen - You want to reconnect with your inner artist - You’re in an in-between, unsure what to do with yourself FULL EPISODE AVAILABLE ON YOUTUBE AND SPOTIFY! #embracencertainty #fearofbeingseen #overcomeyourfears #creativejournal #selftrustjourney

Most of society has this ambivalent relationship with uncertainty. While we know that there will always be some uncertainty, we also like to ‘figure things out’ so there’s less of it. Maybe it’s our inherent need for control or a way to manage our emotions. What if we change our relationship with uncertainty? What if we embrace not knowing the answer for now and stay open to the possibilities? In our podcast episode, coming out tomorrow, Katie Brief, host of @love__the__question and I talk about how to embrace uncertainty, the fear of visibility, living with curiosity and more 💫 #embracencertainty #fearofbeingseen #overcomeyourfears #healingjourney #selftrustjourney

Such a timely conversation with @katiebriefel, writer and host of @love__the__question about our relationship with uncertainty. Our society rewards linear paths and clear answers, but a lot of the time, the path that’s the most rewarding might not be fully clear from the start. Uncertainty is sometimes considered ‘negative’ or ‘bad’. We tend to treat it as something to solve and something to get rid of. But as Katie says, “uncertainty is the texture of a life”. Because if we are following our intuition, then our path won’t likely look like anyone else’s. What if we change our relationship with uncertainty, and accept it as part of life, rather than try to escape it? #LifeTransitions #FindingYourPath #IntentionalLiving #EmbracingUncertainty #SelfTrust

Introducing Currently... A window into what's actually going on underneath. Last year when I was working out my next move, I spent a lot of time getting inspiration, collecting ideas, and formulating what I wanted my path forward to look like. I love knowing what people are obsessing over, what's in draft mode for them, what's influencing their thinking. So here's mine. Follow @lets__reset for more. And if you want to be in the next one, drop me a message! I find everyone's notes app deeply fascinating 😂
