Sad news — our collective Afflecks shop is closing @avantgarms_ 😢 it’s been on such a massive journey and sooo many artists & friends have been involved along the way (only allowed to tag 20 but so many more, couldn’t find pics of everyone) so I’m feeling very grateful to everyone involved that we managed to continue it for 5 whole years!!

From running it on my own for the first year to meeting Niah @jemijog_clothing and starting a collective together which we ran for 3 years and hosted a LOT of artists, to handing over to Abbi @lithamoonshop who has been running it for the past 1.5 years and welcomed even more artists 💘

THANK YOU everyone who’s made this happen, ever visited and got involved. Legends!

The shop will be closing 8th Nov so if you want any last minute treats from all the artists please swing by on the 3rd floor

Introducing our artist alumni!! Loveday 🦋

LOVEDAY is a visual and performance artist based in Manchester. She is currently working on and exhibiting an ongoing visual project imagining a new society: black and futurist and residing at the bottom of Kingston harbour. Her work often depicts women whose reclined poses are reminiscent of renaissance subjects. But they are not so familiar, with black features, blue skin and dwelling in fantastical settings. Working as part of Trouser Project Collective, she sells prints and up-cycled clothes in Afflecks Palace. She also works with So La flair theatre co. as a community member having performed, curated and produced for the company.
