THANK YOU to everybody who came out to The OUTKAST Music + Dining Experience from @dnd.im.baking & I! It was so wonderful seeing how much their music has impacted folks. My brother @dnd.im.baking has been wanting to collab music and food alongside me for the longest, so what better way to do that!

I’d like to personally thank @fokolou @betterdaysrecords @benjonesbetterdays @lenahanmegan @francisco_leonardo_garcia @vuelavuelamonarca @blazindavid @catknives @eronplev @millzyroch @___em.j @livinglow.c @thewanderingshawty @zacestes_ and anybody else I may have failed to mention.

Met a #hiphop legend today. @moneyb69 from @digitalundergroundofficial 😎🤘

@agoodrogering often covers the classic track, Freaks of the Industry. I never thought I’d actually get to Digital Underground perform it!

We’re still reflecting on the incredible Artists & Afros that took place right here in the Russell neighborhood, bringing together artists, creatives, neighbors, and art lovers from around the region.

As the largest Black art show in the state of Kentucky, this event was a powerful reminder of the talent, creativity, and cultural richness that exists within our community and beyond. 🎨

Artists & Afros created space for artists to be seen, supported celebrated, and appreciated and we’re proud to have witnessed it right here in Russell. 🧡

Thank you to the artists, event organizers at@nortonslcenter and @shauntriceblack , the vendors, and everyone who showed up to support.

Russell continues to be a place where creativity, culture, and community come together.

This past weekend, as part of OuR Home: 2026 Russell Homecoming, we explored the rich art, history, architecture, and culture of Russell during the Black Art Trolley Tour with @blackartistsgetpaid 🎨✨

We got to experience Russell through a creative and historic lens, exploring murals, architecture, a art gallery tour of Nzingha Creations Gallery/Studio and a special mansion tour with Gabe and Kaila, who are restoring a historic mansion right here in the Russell neighborhood. Guests had the unique opportunity to step inside the home and see Gabe and Kaila’s restoration work firsthand, while also experiencing the work of artists @lovedjalways @mari_yahtheartist and @art_of_balance23s . You can follow Gabe and Kaila’s restoration journey at Remaking A Mansion

From the stories behind the artwork to the preservation of historic spaces, the tour was a chance to discover and celebrate the incredible history, creativity, and people that make #RussellProud 🧡

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this experience such a special part of Homecoming!
