I’ve seen people doing hot glue embroidery on clothes, and one question I always see in comments is, “how does it wash?”, but I’ve never seen an answer! So here we go! I will report back, and you can still join us on October 25th at @loveevolutionstudio for a yoga session and some crafting. Not sure what to bring? A canvas tote, canvas sneakers, canvas baseball cap, oxford button down, denim jacket, a sweatshirt….so many possibilities!! Make things. Meet people. The connection is the point 🩷🩵💜

As usual I’m in the testing phase for you: walked around with this bad boy unfinished for two weeks! It stayed put ✔️.

This is going to be fun! Bring your own item to try hot glue embroidery on, and I’ll supply the rest 🩷. I’ll have some stencils (including a few fall/Halloween themes). While hot glue sets, we’ll take a yoga class, and then spend the afternoon relaxing, stitching, and chatting. Come make things and meet people 🩷🩵💜.

As always, our season can never truly come to an end until we send out our thanks to the community, staff and partners that keep this place going season after season.

First, a huge thanks to our General Manager and Assistant Managers for keeping water in the hole in the ground and to our guards, staff, volunteers and Safety Sue for keeping us all safe and the snowballs flowing.

Next, a huge round of applause to all of our partners for cooking fantastic food, pouring beverages, playing great music and for entertaining our membership and their guests for the past few months – The Sweet Greek Grill, Loud Tacos, Das Bierhalle, Box Hill Pizzeria & Crab Cakes, Old Line Grill, Grilled & Cheesy, Independent Brewing, DMV Taqueria, Mr. Souvlaki, Moe’s Slice of Life, Vagabond Sandwich Co., DJ Russ. Love Evolution, Extreme Balloons, Tom Fogarty, Outshined, The Replicates, The Greenroom Project, Radio Religion, Ruben Montoya and Steve Rexroth! Please support them all this fall, winter and spring!

To our spouses and children – well, they generally think we are out of our minds (just ask them!). Despite that, they continue to support and keep us (somewhat) sane. We thank you!

To our Members and your guests – We hope you enjoyed our 52nd season! Thank you for entrusting us with being a small part of raising your families and for enduring all of our shenanigans (JAWS 🦈 anyone?)
