POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Over time, I’ve come to realize that many of us don’t really want friends. We want people around us who will co-sign our foolishness. But a friend who loves your feelings more than your future may protect your comfort while destroying your growth.

Scripture tells us that iron sharpens iron, and that process can be uncomfortable. Why? Because there’s friction. There’s resistance. But through that friction, something gets sharper.

A real friend should be able to call you out on your stuff and feel empowered to hold you accountable.

And if you cut off everybody who corrects you, one day you’ll look up and realize you’re surrounded by people who are too afraid to tell you the truth.

Thank God for the real ones. The people who love you enough to keep it real, speak truth, and hold you accountable, even when it’s uncomfortable.

Proverbs 27:17

When I returned to Chicago, finding a church home wasn’t enough. I needed a church family, strong Bible teaching, and a pastor who could deliver the Word in a way that speaks to my real, everyday journey.

And social media family, I found exactly that at @loveglobalmin. ❤️🙏🏼

Our First Lady, @vickikills, has been my friend and sister for 40 years, and our Pastor @iirockit has truly become a brother to me. ❤️❤️

We worship on Saturdays, and I would absolutely love for you to join us. Come experience what I’ve experienced. It just might be a life changing moment for you. ❤️🙏🏼

There is definitely something special about being surrounded by women, good energy, beautiful music and a shared intention to simply… be. 🤎✨

I had the pleasure of attending Worship & Wellness with Love Church, and what a beautiful way to relax, reset and meditate with intention.

From the sound bath led by @iamchristiewithanie to the musical performance, worship and fellowship, the afternoon felt like a gentle reminder to slow down, quiet the noise and make room for peace, gratitude and God. 🙏🏾

Sometimes wellness isn’t about doing more. Sometimes it’s allowing yourself to be still, breathe deeply, receive and reconnect.

So grateful I was able to experience this beautiful gathering of women. My spirit definitely left a little lighter than when I arrived. ✨🤎

WORSHIP & WELLNESS…WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY! ❤️🙌🏾

My heart is FULL. Thank you to every woman who came out and supported Love Church. The turnout was amazing, but the atmosphere was even better.

The worship was HIGH.
The anointing was in the room.
Healing was in the room.
SISTERHOOD was in the room. ❤️

A special thank you to Christie @iamchristiewithanie for our beautiful sound bath experience, our amazing vendors, and MY TEAM who worked so hard to make this day a success.

And to my Ladies of Love, I LOVE YOU! ❤️ It is truly a blessing to do ministry and life alongside you.

We came to worship.
We came to breathe.
We came to heal.
We left a little FULLER than we came. 🙌🏾✨

God, thank You for meeting us in the room. ❤️

On behalf of the entire LOVE Church community and all our partners @projectswishchicago @davejeff @bighomieproject @elegantmidge we would like to thank everyone who has supported our Back-to-School Drive over the last 5 years. We could not do the work we’ve been called to do without your generous financial support.

Hey family, guess what today is? It’s officially our anniversary. 20 years together, 16 years married, and a lifetime to go.

To the woman who supports me, cheers for me, encourages me, and stands with me. I want you to know that I see you, value you, appreciate you, and love you.

Thank you for an amazing life! Happy anniversary, @vickikills

A mature believer doesn’t keep renegotiating a settled YES.

Matthew 5:37 says, “Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.”

There comes a point in your walk with God when you have to stop going back and forth over what you’ve already settled in your heart.

Stop renegotiating your obedience because it got uncomfortable.
Stop questioning your assignment because it got difficult.
Stop allowing people, fear, or circumstances to make you reconsider what you already said YES to.

Your YES doesn’t become a NO simply because the journey got hard.

Maturity is learning that every difficult moment doesn’t require a new decision. Sometimes, it simply requires the discipline to stand on the decision you already made.

You don’t need another sign.
You don’t need another confirmation.
You don’t need everyone to understand.

You said YES. Now stand on it.

Because a mature believer understands:
What I settled in faith, I refuse to renegotiate in fear.

LET YOUR YES BE YES!

You can lift your hands in worship and still withhold your heart in obedience.

God doesn’t just want your praise He wants your YES.

Your private life should agree with your public praise.

Lord, let my private obedience match my public worship.

Because real worship isn’t just what you sing…

It’s how you live when the music stops. #saturdayservice_08_22 #fyp
