Hollow Moon Gathering — Music in the Hollow

Join us Friday, October 23 at Terra Locus in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, for the first Hollow Moon Gathering — an evening of live music, food, firelight, and fall in the Ozarks.

We’ll kick off the music around 6:00 PM with three acts:
Jack Ryan — St. Louis blues
A-Chord — John Two-Hawks & Dave Blankenship
Mike Blackwell

Hollow Moon takes place at the developing Terra Locus campgrounds, tucked into the hills outside Eureka Springs. October 23 should give us a beautiful moonlit backdrop for an intimate night of music in the hollow.

And if you’re making a Halloween weekend of it, we’re gathering the night before the Eureka Springs Zombie Crawl, so you can spend Friday night with us at Terra Locus and head into Eureka Springs for the Zombie Crawl on Saturday.

Oh my sweet bestie Ri,
To be in the same timeline as you, is the most wonderful gift the world has given me. Our FaceTimes, our açaí bowl dates, Boulder adventures, and our time together at Naropa have been some of my most cherished moments. I thank God every day that you’re on this planet with me. He couldn’t have sent me a better angel to be my best friend forever. Thank you for being a constant light in my life and may we have many adventures together in the future.
Happy 26th birthday bestie! I love you and I miss you! How I wish I could be there to celebrate with you today. Know that I’m always there in spirit, rooting for you and holding your hand. 💕🎂✨

A hui hou, Mindy🤍🌺

Mindy has been such a beautiful light in our little community. She is kind, compassionate, loving, giving, and just one of those people whose presence makes a space feel a little warmer. We have loved having her as a teacher and are so grateful for everything she has poured into her students and into Mālama🤍 While we’re sad to see her go, this isn’t really goodbye. We fully expect to see her dropping in from time to time. Maybe sometimes as a student and hopefully, sometimes back at the front of the room teaching us again. 🥹🧘🏽‍♀️

And a HUGE mahalo to everyone who showed up for Mindy’s last class, contributed to sending her off with a little extra love, and helped remind her just how loved and appreciated she is. Seeing everyone come together for her was so special and exactly what community is all about. 🫶🏽

We love you, Mindy, and we’re wishing you so much love and goodness in whatever comes next.

A hui hou as we say in Hawai’i or in english, until we meet again. 🌺🤍

I DID IT!
.
against all odds, I GRADUATED with a BA in Indigenous Studies, Literary Activism, & Wellness! a lot of you know my personal stance on Naropa as an institution...this place has caused harm to many many women, children, & people of color since it was founded in 1974—this institution was built on a legacy of pedophilia & sexual misconduct, & is predominantly made up of white students & faculty. for these reasons, it was very challenging for me to persevere. i've been accused of being a negative person during my time at Naropa, because i was very outspoken about the harms caused by this institution, & i did not try to hide the fact that i was struggling to survive this place. but i dare anyone who has had my Naropa experience to stay positive in the face of gendered & racial oppression
.
with that said, i am so fucking grateful for this experience because it led me to my life's work in matriarchal feminism. i have learned what i am capable of. i have truly understood the BIPOC experience, & i hope to alleviate the negative aspects of that experience through my work, while also celebrating & amplifying the positive aspects of that experience. and i could not have done any of this on my own
.
thank you to everyone who supported me along the way! thank you TR, for all the financial & emotional support, for always answering my calls, & talking me off the ledge every time i wanted to quit. thank you mom & dad for encouraging me every time i thought i was going to fail, & for raising me with indigenous worldview & values. thank you Niki, Tamika, Bri, Riley, Cody, & Nathan for your loyalty & love, you have each proven your willingness to grow together, & i love you more than i thought was possible to love people i'm not blood related to. thank you to Nailah & Curtis & the whole BIPOC coworking group, you made it possible for me to cope with my Naropa experience. thank you Ramon Parish, Ian Sanderson, Vanessa Tavernetti, & Brenna Bray, for believing in me, for teaching me, & empowering me; you are the rare gems that made Naropa bearable despite everything. finally, thank you MOTHER EARTH for calling me, for holding me, for nurturing me through it all
.
I DID IT!
