Wedi’i gwreiddio yn ei threftadaeth Gymreig, mae ei gwaith yn ymwneud â ffeministiaeth, gwleidyddiaeth, cymuned, hanes a thraddodiad. Gan dynnu ar waith Pierre Bourdieu, mae Lowri Ann â diddordeb yn rôl celf wrth adennill ac ail-greu traddodiadau sydd wedi’u hollti, eu hanghofio neu eu gormesu o ganlyniad i foderniaeth. Mae ei phrosiect cyfredol, Burial, yn ymestyn yr ymholiad hwn, gan osod celf fel modd y gellir ailddychmygu amseroldeb y gorffennol, y presennol a’r dyfodol yn faterol ac yn gysyniadol. - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐨𝐰𝐫𝐢 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 30th May 2026 - 4th July 2026 Lowri Ann is a local multidisciplinary artist who recently graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London. Rooted in her Welsh heritage, her practice engages with feminism, politics, community, history, and tradition. Drawing on the work of Pierre Bourdieu, Lowri Ann is interested in the role of ‘practice’ in reclaiming and recreating traditions that have been fractured, forgotten or repressed as a consequence of modernity. Welcome to sk8witham8 This page is something I’ve been wanting to start for a while. It’s for anyone who wants to try skateboarding but doesn’t have friends to skate with. I know the feeling – a couple of years ago, I got back into skating and had no one to practice with. The thought of going to the skate park alone as a girl was nerve wrecking. When Mumbles skate park opened, I was so excited but too nervous to go when it was busy. I started going at sunrise when it was empty. Since then, I’ve been practicing, celebrating the small wins, and making friends along the way. I wish that when I started I had a group of friends to learn with, sooooo If you’re looking for a supportive community to start your skateboarding journey, come skate with us, ANY LEVEL / NO EXPERIENCE WELCOME You’ve got to start somewhere:) we’ll be posting regular skate content, sessions or events for the future Follow along👁️‍🗨️ Filming @localkooksgower
