I love seeing my name up on the big screen, I love the lights, the production and everything that comes with being a DJ but what I really love about YOU is that they’ve stripped all of that back.

The priority isn’t the DJ.
It isn’t the drag queen.
It isn’t who’s on the biggest poster.

The priority is YOU.

Making sure everyone who walks through those doors has the best night possible.

Different rooms. Different sounds. Different energy. Rotating the spaces each week so there’s always somewhere to find the music and atmosphere you love.

Bruno reckons he’s shy. “It doesn’t look like I’m shy, but I’m really shy... especially with people.”

So walking into a group class eight months ago was the hard bit. He’d been trying to train on his own and it wasn’t happening, “when you’re training by yourself, it’s just like too hard.”

A couple of friends already trained at BBB Darlo and kept telling him to come to a class. He came once and that was it.

Two or three sessions a week turned into six. He dropped 12 kilos in three months. Muscle-ups and PRs he didn’t think he had in him.

What we rate most about Bruno is what he does with it now. He remembers exactly how the first day felt, so he’s the one who goes over to whoever’s new. “I know their feelings. I try to make everyone welcome when I see them.”
