#humanvoicesonly The Poisoner and the Mage by @lsbwrites , a work in progress! Thank you, Lindsey, I can't wait to read the rest!

🌿🌖🌿

THE POISONER AND THE MAGE is a cozy fantasy romance about everyday kindnesses, family dynamics, and redemption. Bursting with vibrant (but poisonous) flowers, whimsical magic, and a touch of spice, THE POISONER AND THE MAGE is perfect for fans of the tight-knit community in Legends and Lattes, the redemption in Violet Thistlewaite is Not a Villain Anymore, and the forced proximity romance in Hemlock and Silver.

THE POISONER AND THE MAGE: a balm to the horrors of the world with its message of hope, connection, and being enough.

On Fridays I like to share some things that are bringing me joy and I encourage you to do the same! 💖

1. Between the sponsored posts and ads it can be easy to forget that you can make real, wonderful connections here - and I had the best time with @babbling_jbrooks (author of the hilarious A Fae in Finance) and @lsbwrites (awesome freelance editor!) last weekend! 🫶💖🫶💖🫶 Thank you ladies for such a fun time!
(Also, please admire me & Lindsey’s jump shot 😻)

2. I went to Chincoteague island (as in Misty of Chincoteague!!) and it was everything I imagined from the book and more!! We had the best totchos (tater tot nachos are one of my favorite foods of all time), saw a hilarious yard sale sign (yes it’s that good) and…
saw wild ponies and dolphins!! Have you been to Chincoteague? Or have you ever taken a book inspired trip? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

3. @smileboulder leaves animal street art around Colorado and whenever I find a new one it makes me smile 💖 (@ Smile Boulder thanks for doing what you do!!)

4. @dafsquatch.designs came in hot this week with BIGFOOT CONFIDENTIAL apparel!!!! And the noise you hear right now is me screaming because I’m so in love with it!! Dafné hand draws all her art and hand prints each piece onto upcycled clothing that she hand-selected. (You guys, she’s so cool!!!) Link with more coming SOON 💖🫈💖🫈

5. The BIGFOOT CONFIDENTIAL NetGalley is out and reader comments have been coming in, and you guys, my heart is so full!! I love this book SO MUCH! Thank you for loving it with me!!!!! 💖🫈💖🫈

Now it’s your turn! What’s something that’s bringing you joy right now, or you’re excited about? Let me know in the comments so we can celebrate it together!

👋🏼 Hi, if this is your first time here, welcome!! I’m Jessica and I’m writing an upper YA fantasy series about faeries earning their wings. Think Cruel Prince x Peter Pan 😏 I’m also working on an adult Greek mythology standalone that reads like an anthology-esque tragedy!

Here I chat about bookish things, writing updates, and I’m officially querying for trad pub! I would love to connect with readers and writers, so if any of this sounds interesting to you, you’re in the right place. 😁

🏷️ Peter Pan, cruel Prince, romantasy, ya series, debut, querying, trilogy, faeries, faerie warrior, tropes, twist on faerie lore, tropes, bookish, bookstagram, trad pub, beta reading, editing, editing cave, officially editing, edits, fantasy, writing tips, relatable, book lovers, shoutout, appreciation post, accounts I love
