Attended the 4th Annual Ebb and Flow Community Mental Health Conference, hosted by @ltsc.cdc Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC). The conference brought together different generations, mental health professionals, community advocates, and individuals sharing their personal journeys to encourage more open conversations about mental health in the Asian American community. Growing up in an Asian culture, I know how often we are taught to be strong, work hard, and keep our struggles to ourselves. But mental health deserves the same attention and care as physical health. Take life one moment at a time. Don’t be afraid to talk about what you’re going through or seek professional help when something doesn’t feel right. Don’t wait until things become overwhelming to ask for support. ❤️ Free Mental health resources 1. Changing Tides — Youth Mental Health https://www.thechangingtides.org 2. Move Your Body, Calm Your Mind Month in May was a great time for us to explore different ways to support our well-being. We decided to continue these small practices throughout the year, how and when they worked best for us. ✨ Check out some simple movements and calming activities that we tried! Even a few minutes each day to move, reset, and recharge can make a real difference over time. 🖍️ Visit MoveYourBodyCalmYourMind.org for more information and resources ☁️@moveyourbodycalmyourmind #MYBCYM2026 #mindfulness #wellness

15 years of coalition, organizing, and collective power. ❤️ Last week, we came together to celebrate this milestone and reflect on the generations of leaders who have shaped our movement sharing stories, celebrating wins, honoring lessons learned, and remembering that the work has always been bigger than any one of us. From the leaders who built the foundation to those carrying the work forward today, we’re proud of what we’ve built together and even more excited for what’s ahead! Here’s to building a better Los Angeles, **by and for working-class Angelenos.** ✊🏾🌎 15 years down. The work continues.

We are so happy with our latest Okaeri Connects group for trans and gender diverse Nikkei, plus those questioning if they may be. Kai and Xander continue to serve as facilitators for this group as we continue indefinitely!🏳️‍⚧️

Last week we celebrated 15 years (!!!) of @actlosangeles 🎊 Some of us are old enough to remember the first conversations with Serena and Dean that led to bringing together a cross section of LA’s equity advocates across affordable housing, transportation, environment & labor. We had a lot of trust to build, needed to work through our differences to find our shared vision & strategies but knew building our collective power was going to be critical to creating the LA we all wanted to see. Today, @actlosangeles is a force to be reckoned with, a known and powerful advocacy coalition - both locally and at the state. Their wins are numerous and are shaping policy and investment. I am incredibly proud to be one of the founders of this enduring demonstration of community power. Congratulations to everyone who has been part of this movement over the last 15 years! Let’s keep pushing ✊🏽
