A mystery as to how it came to be, but nevertheless it's very impressive!

One of our members, Glasgow Community Food Network are putting the produce to good use on their " From branch to jar" workshop.

Update of the Persian Tile Crochet Blanket.

Last month I decided to pick the project back up that I originally started almost 3 years ago, I was majorly Inspired by my old neighbour.

I’ve managed to cut the time it takes per octagon from about 6 hours to 3 hours, I’ve got a few more to go and then I start on the squares 🤗🤗🤗

Happy Monday!

I was looking back through some @blacksheepwools posts and found a lovely little interview with Janie. In it, Sara asked Janie which was her favourite blanket design, and Jane chose The Fruit Garden.

Here then is a little round up of some of your amazing versions of that fabulous crochet along project. Which is your favourite? That’s a bit unfair really as they are all glorious!

If not, it’s still available to download on the Stylecraft website but Jane also created a lovely book, combining the patterns in one place and including more design inspiration, testimonials and all sorts. It is an awfully gloomy day today so here are a dozen Fields of Gold (or Fiori) blankets to cheer you up!

The first photo shows the original colour of the Fields of Gold blanket, the second shows Lucia Dunn’s @luciasfigtree version called “Fiori”. The rest are your beautiful interpretations of the project. Thank you to all the makers (all tagged on their photos) for sharing your gorgeous work. They are exactly the remedy for a day like today!

here are 2 of my most prized crochet creations from 2023 and 24 - borne out of a desire to create through loss, change, and grief - each knot was weaved with love, tenderness, and patience. thank you @janiecrow for creating both of these patterns and @luciasfigtree for the colour way. I didn’t crochet at all in 2025 but as I restart working on the flower garden pattern for my sister, I am so happy to see how far I’ve come with my crochet skills (and emotionally!)

ps. I wish I made better shoe choices in July before filming this and mailing the fridas flowers afghan to @ayeshahasan7300 for her birthday 🤭💖

☀️persian tiles blanket ☀️

finally got around to taking some pics of this blanket so i can hand it over to @sheridanstrengthfitness and @jacquelinetobin_ 🏡

so proud of this and happy with how it turned out - didn’t find it as difficult as I expected and definitely glad for all the colour changes as it would have gotten a bit monotonous otherwise and so thankful I crocheted my ends in as I went ⭐️
