DISRUPT AI Community Connect continues to grow.

Another sold out event, our community is expanding with a room packed in an evening for sharing, learning, chatting and meeting new people. Our second edition featured two generous and open-sharing information with the show-and-tells from Levi and Vgor, followed by a reality check discussion on IP and copyright led by corporate and commercial lawyer Emily Booth from our Disrupt AI Film Festival partners Holding Redlich.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along. The energy was buzzing, with people connecting and exchanging ideas around creativity and responsible AI throughout the night. The room brought together a diverse mix of AI filmmakers, designers, advertisers, academics, consultants, producers, actors, studio owners, and many others passionate about the future of Gen AI 🦴

If you’re interested in attending a future session, keep an eye out for our next meetup announcement on the DISRUPT Instagram. Spaces are limited, so be sure to RSVP.

$DISRUPT AI Film Festival Sydney, 2 Dec 2025 🦴 Sydney, thank you. What a night to celebrate the DISRUPT AI Film Festival, Sydney edition. A huge thank you to Kimberlee Wells for leading the evening and setting the tone from the first moment. And to Matt Keon and Cat McGinn, whose conversation, building on Matt’s whitepaper on Galton’s Law of Mediocrity, sharpened a simple truth: emotion is still human territory, AI averages out, and the next era of creative craft will demand far clearer intent from all of us. Huge congratulations to our four winning filmmakers, each receiving $5,000 thanks to our sponsors. Their films showed exactly what happens when human imagination meets new tools with real ambition And to our sponsors, partners, judges and everyone who joined us at Restaurant Hubert, thank you. You helped build serious momentum in year one.
