OJO Gallery a eu le plaisir d’accueillir la photographe Lucia Alonso pour une conférence autour de son exposition Eskawata Kayawai. Bien plus qu’une présentation de photographies, cette rencontre fut un véritable dialogue. Lucia a partagé son immersion auprès du peuple Huni Kuin en Amazonie, la genèse de son travail et les liens de confiance qui ont donné naissance à cette série. À travers ses images et son récit, le public a découvert non seulement une œuvre, mais aussi le processus humain qui l’a rendue possible. Merci à toutes les personnes venues partager ce moment avec nous. Chez OJO Gallery, nous croyons que l’art prend tout son sens lorsqu’il crée le dialogue. _ OJO Gallery was delighted to welcome photographer Lucia Alonso for an intimate artist talk centred on her exhibition Eskawata Kayawai. Far more than a presentation of photographs, the afternoon unfolded as a meaningful conversation. Lucia shared the story behind her work, her encounters with the Huni Kuin people of the Amazon, and the relationships of trust, time and mutual respect that shaped this remarkable body of work. Through her photographs and personal reflections, visitors discovered not only the images themselves, but also the creative process, the human connections and the questions that continue to resonate beyond the exhibition. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a thoughtful and inspiring exchange. At OJO Gallery, we believe that art is not only to be seen, it is to be experienced, shared, and discussed.

Dear friends, I’m back! My main account, @maleyphoto , has been restored, and you can once again enjoy our photos and photography projects there. I decided to keep this page as a personal space where I’ll share our life in Portugal, our beloved children, moments of playing guitar and piano, enjoying great coffee, and spending time by the ocean. I’ll also share our journey of faith, our visits to our church, and a life lived with gratitude for everything we have. I am deeply grateful to each of you for the support you showed us during the difficult period when our main page was blocked. Your kindness, encouragement, and prayers meant so much to us. The Lord has led me through this season in His own way, and I believe it has been both valuable and necessary for me- a time to reflect and rethink many important aspects of life. On June 16, our son was born, and our family has entered a beautiful new chapter. We are happy, grateful, and thankful to our Lord Jesus for all that we have.
