Outstanding phoneamatography by @lucygrash

Yesterday a little birthday slipped by without celebration and I just couldn’t let that happen. Good Nights is 11 years old!!! 🥳 🥂

The first pic is a throwback to a photoshoot my wonderful friend @dixonandsmith did for me the year Good Nights turned one 🎉

Swipe through for some lovely memories from over the years. I am so incredibly grateful that these little shows are still going, what a ride it’s been 💜

Some judging panels just get it. This was one of them. ✨

Such beautiful and special energy, sharp ears, thoughtful observations and genuine enthusiasm for every band that hit the stage.

And the feedback… SO much feedback. 🙌 The kind that goes well beyond a scorecard, with brilliant insights, generous encouragement and plenty for each band to take away with them.

We score you an A+++ and we’d quite like to keep you all. 🤘💗

✨ Lucy Rash – Musical Director, Ella Hooper Band / Copy & Grant Writer - Cult Copy
✨ Tania Sullivan – RackeTT Collective / Roar Fest
✨ Robbie Cappuccio & Simon Chatfield – PBOB Alumni - both members of the ridiculously credentialled three-peat PBOB champions Parental as Anything (2018, 2019 & 2021)

Thank you for bringing such a joyful and fun spirit to the Battle. You were an absolute treat. 🏆🎶

We’d like to submit this photo as evidence.

Evidence that getting involved with your school community doesn’t have to involve onions and a folding table outside Bunnings.

Evidence that a school community looks pretty bloody good from behind a drum kit.

Evidence that parents should occasionally be encouraged to make very loud decisions. 🪈

And evidence that Bayside knows exactly how to throw a Battle. 🤘

Four bands. Sold out a month in advance. Lucky 13 Garage absolutely heaving.

Music. Community. A little bit of glorious chaos.

Case closed. 💗🎶

“No Vacancy” is out NOW!

This one means a hell of a lot to us ❤️

We wrote it back home in Australia, but today we’re releasing it while staying in Nashville, surrounded by the music, the people and the places that have shaped so much of our sound. It’s a pretty surreal feeling tbh.

Did we mention it’s featuring our very dear friend @lucygrash on fiddle?

We’ve always loved music that feels honest. Songs that tell the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable. “No Vacancy” comes from that place, and we’re incredibly proud to finally share it with you.

A special thanks to @cheatin_hearts_records for believing in this song and helping bring it into the world.

If you’ve got a few minutes today, we’d love for you to give it a spin and let us know what you think. We really hope it finds a place with you. 👉 Link in Bio 👈

See you down the road. ❤️
