I’ll dream big, I’ll just also be asking where the loading dock is

Some of these are delusional but none are impossible!!

Chatting with @marynacherednikova recently, she said something that stopped me: she’d had no idea I plan weddings. Which, is actually fair enough. I’ve been a bit busy with the flowers. Occupational hazard!

But before the flowers came almost ten years of planning weddings across Britain, in private country estates, a castle, a music theatre, a festival in the forest, and one couple who had me plan their wedding in two hemispheres.

So, for anyone new (and anyone who only knows me as a florist): I’ve been a wedding planner since 2012. Florist since 2022. Planning has been there the whole way through.

These days couples hire me for a full in-house process, so the person planning their day is the same person designing and flowering it (alongside my incredible team!) Becoming a florist didn’t replace planning. It completed it.

And so, we take a limited number of weddings each year, and no more than one wedding a week, by choice. It’s how every couple gets the full version of both.

Have you been here since the “For the Love of Weddings” days, or are you new?

Kx

A little birdie told us about Martha, a pattern by @lucytheflowerhunter that is breathtaking and a bit whimsical.

Featured in both fabric and wallpaper in three appealing colorways, “Martha takes her inspiration from the changing light in Autumn… Vines lose some of their vigour and their tendrils take on a delicate, web like quality, stems reaching for the sky.”
