🏀 2026–27 LCA Boys Basketball Schedule

⚔️ Only 2️⃣ months away and another tough schedule is ahead—one that will challenge our guys throughout the season and prepare us for another postseason run.

😤 We open the year with 3️⃣ straight home games against private schools Covenant School (Charlottesville), Carlisle School (Martinsville), and Tandem Friends (Charlottesville) before traveling across town to take on rival Virginia Episcopal School. From there, we jump into the always-challenging Seminole District schedule.

🎄 Over Christmas break, we're excited to return to the Northside Invitational in Roanoke, where we finished as runner-up last season to North Cross. And speaking of North Cross—we'll get another opportunity to compete against them at the Chance Harman Classic in Floyd County in January.

💪 We'll round out our non-district schedule by hosting Grace Christian out of Mechanicsville, a talented and well-coached program that will provide another great test.

📈 Last season raised the bar. The standard is set. Let's go!

🏀 Four Bulldogs. Four Ranked Prospects. 🐾📈

Four of our guys are currently ranked in their respective classes by PrepHoops Virginia:

🔴 SR @c0ltondavis — ’27 | #87
🔵 JR @luke_tomlin1 — ’28 | #93
🔴 JR @milessgreysonn — ’28 | #100
🔵 SO JoJo Deyo — ’29 | #88

Well-deserved recognition for four guys who continue to put in the work.

📈 Shoutout to Colton Davis, who made a HUGE jump — moving 58 spots from 145 to 87 in the state. Colton put together a big-time summer and has continued to earn attention from college coaches. Now it’s time to carry that momentum into his senior season.

And we believe there are a few more Bulldogs who deserve to — and eventually will — find their way onto these lists.

Wouldn’t surprise us one bit to see all four continue climbing as the season unfolds. 😤

🏀 LEADERSHIP SERIES — SESSION I 🔥

2️⃣1️⃣ players. 4️⃣ coaches. Everyone got better thanks to Tim Dantas and Jimmy Kline of Mr. Pave. @officialtimdantas @jimmy_kline @mr.pave_usa

Tim kicked off the afternoon by sharing his story — a young man from Brazil who made his way to the 🇺🇸, played college 🏀 at King’s College, and eventually landed in Lynchburg to finish school at @libertyuniversity.

He found success at a young age in medical device sales before eventually hitting 🪨 bottom. But God opened another🚪. A budding friendship helped lead to the start of MP and the next chapter of his life.

A story of success, adversity, perseverance, and faith in the Lord 🙏.

Tim’s first message to our guys was simple:
✔️ SHOW UP.
✔️ Show up on time.
✔️ Show up for your teammates.
✔️ Show up ready to work.
✔️ Just show up.

His Leadership Non-Negotiables:
1️⃣ Trust
2️⃣ Leaders Produce Leaders
3️⃣ Integrity

💪 Jimmy built on Tim’s message — keep pushing forward, even when the chips are stacked against you. Trust that God has a plan.

📈 After a successful career in pharmaceutical sales, Jimmy took a leap of faith on Tim and Mr. Pave. A longtime friendship, shared values, and the opportunity to be part of something special pulled him into the unfamiliar world of contracting.

🗣 His message to our guys: Character matters. Hold your teammates accountable. And plow through the tough times.

Those lessons tie directly into the 3️⃣ core values Mr. Pave lives by every day:

🔸️QUALITY. INTEGRITY. SAFETY.🔸️

💯 What a night. What a start to our Leadership Series.

🤝 Thank you, Tim and Jimmy, for giving your time, sharing your stories, being vulnerable, and pouring (or is it "placing" 😉) into our young men.

😤 And a special congratulations to SR @noah.bev34, JR @_milesgreyson, and SO JJ Hagner for earning some Mr. Pave swag! Tim recognized those three for their engagement, attentiveness, note-taking, and willingness to be involved throughout the session. 👏

Session I was a good one. 🔥

🏀 Competition Day 1 🏀

Fun to watch our veterans set the tone and our underclassmen push the vets.

🏋‍♂️ Our guys got after it in the weight room with three different components: Strength Training, an 18-minute Circuit, and a 4-minute Finisher. JR guards Miles Davis and Luke Tomlin led the pack, but all 18 guys finished under the allotted time. 💪

😤 We finished the evening with our 1-on-1 Double Elimination Tournament. Great to see guys compete, fight, and finish after already being pushed physically.

🏆 Colton Davis
🥈 Miles Davis
🥉 Luke Tomlin
⭐ HM: Noah Beverly & Lincoln Bruce

🌞 Finishing off the summer with competition, fun, and togetherness.

🏀 A Name to Know in 2028 👀🐾

More recognition for ’28 PG Luke Tomlin, this time from Build Hoops Global, following his play with Hill City Crash.

The scouting report made a strong statement about Luke — calling him a player with a “strong case for one of the top guard spots in Virginia.”

At 5’9”, Luke continues to prove that size doesn’t determine impact. His ability to handle the basketball, score at all three levels, create for teammates, operate in ball-screen situations, and compete defensively continues to separate him.

We’ve watched the work behind the scenes. Now more people are starting to take notice.

A name to know in Virginia’s Class of 2028. 📈

🏀 Luke Tomlin | 5'9 Guard | Class of 2028
Hill City Crash | Liberty Christian Academy

Luke Tomlin, 5'9 guard, has a strong case for one of the top guard spots in Virginia. He is a crafty ball handler with a lethal scoring prowess. He sees the floor at an advanced level and uses the pick and roll at a high level. Luke takes and makes big shots from anywhere on the court.

He is known for his hard-nosed play and never-quit attitude. He is just as crafty as an on-ball defender. His high IQ makes him an asset as an off-ball defender with his ability to get in the passing lanes to come up with steals.

His ability to turn those opportunities into quick transition buckets is a true gift. Luke is a name to know in the 2028 class.
