"an endless journey" - collage collab by @luna_roids & @andys_mountains and what a journey it was. with our packed schedules sometimes it's hard to keep up with friends, even more so when your friend lives hundreds of miles away, but that didn't stop us from finding a way to mesh our creative minds together. Mailing the collage back and forth slowing the pace of our busy lives even for just a moment. taking a glimpse into each others mind with each new addition. leaving clues, guiding the other to next part of the story. this was much more than a collage, it was en escape to the void. original polaroid taken at galveston [05-26-2025] [600B&W] #polaroid #polaroid600 #polaroidsx70 #instantfilm #polaroidphotography #mypolaroidperspective #analog #analogphotography #film #filmphotography #filmisnotdead #mixedmediaphotography #surrealism #polaroidoriginals

🚨 Behind the Scenes: @luna_roids Creative Process for Issue 01 of The Instant Film Magazine! 🚨 Step into the mind of Luna Roids as she crafts a mixed media instant film collage for the upcoming issue of The Instant Film Magazine! Each spread is a carefully curated blend of Polaroids, hand-cut elements, and deep storytelling, celebrating culture, nostalgia, and community growth through instant film. 📸 Inner Front Cover – Year of the Snake 🐍 Luna embraces the Lunar New Year 2025 with a vibrant, layered collage featuring Chinatown Polaroids, gold accents from Lunar New Year cards, and a hand-drawn snake. The upcoming airbrushed gradient will complete the rich, festive color palette. 📸 Middle Spread – “It’s Finally Easy Bein’ Green” 🐸 Inspired by Polaroid’s reclaimed green film, Luna channels her love for The Muppets to experiment with shades of green. Using a lightbox setup, yellow and blue flowers influence the film’s color shifts—proving that instant film is both an art and a science. 📸 Inner Back Cover – A Growing Community Celebrating four years in the instant film community, Luna pays homage to its expansion with a retro 80s pop-surrealism collage. Featuring her Spirit 600 camera, neon aesthetics, and a blooming flower symbolizing growth, this piece ties the past and future of instant film together. ✨ Stay tuned for the final layouts in Issue 01 of The Instant Film Magazine! ✨ #TheInstantFilmMagazine #InstantFilm #PolaroidArt #MixedMedia #FilmIsNotDead #YearOfTheSnake #KermitGreen #80sAesthetic #ReclaimedGreen #polaroid

this is a late-night, 2024 recap post to express my gratitude- not just for the people who’ve been part of my life, but also for the moments, both good and bad, that shaped this year. it’s a reminder to myself that my hobby can still be my passion, and that writing has pulled me through countless dark times. i used to write a lot when i was younger, especially as a way to cope with severe depression. but as i started to heal over the years, writing became distant- too painful to touch. now, with my 31st birthday almost approaching, i’ve learned that facing our fears and traumas is necessary for growth. at the end of this year, i made a tough choice, one that those closest to me know very well, and i’m choosing 2025 as my year of rebirth. it’s time to shed old layers, grow stronger, and finally see clearly after years of darkness. i’m welcoming the new year with open arms. thank you to everyone who’s stuck around. . . . . #polaroid #polaroidimpulse #polaroidoriginals #polaroidfilm #polaroids #polaroidphoto #polaroidoftheday #polaroidphotography #polaroidcamera #600film #polaroid600 #mypolaroidperspective #polaroïd #polaroidphotography #impossibleproject #polaroidpicture #filmisnotdead #filmphotography #instantphotography #instantphoto #instantfilm #instantfilmmag #useinstantfilm #instantcosmos #1212projectopen #thepolaroidproject #herexposure #shootitwithfilm #polazine #analogforever
