POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

☕ 🏆 All three of the past champions were there on Friday, let’s chat with Michael Nolan 2025’s winner, and to Alejo Castro, the producer of this year’s coffee!💪🏼

🏆 First up, Michael Nolan! Dentist by day, AeroPress Champion by night! Michael won the 2025 Irish AeroPress Championships, earning himself a trip to South Korea to represent Ireland on the world stage. 🇮🇪✈️🇰🇷

Having been recommended the competition, Michael was drawn in by the atmosphere and how open and friendly the coffee community is. And that’s exactly what we love to hear! ❤️

🌱 Then we have Alejo Castro from Volcán Azul, Costa Rica! An eighth-generation coffee producer whose family has been growing coffee for over 200 years. 🇨🇷

Alejo was the farmer and producer behind this year’s Mystery Coffee — the very coffee all 36 competitors had to work their magic with! ☕🔥

His focus? Producing clean naturals that showcase the flavours of their terroir. And getting to taste his SL28 brewed in so many different ways was a fascinating experience, showing just how differently one coffee can shine in different hands.

From the people brewing the coffee to the people growing it, the Irish AeroPress Championships are all about bringing the coffee community together. 🤝❤️

Thanks, Michael and Alejo, for being part of it!

Come make a coffee with me at home😮‍💨

Using top tier @lunocoffee_ beans on my @sageappliancesuk bambino

The coffee might not always be aesthetic and the latte art might not always be a tulip (in hindsight, maybe I should’ve filmed that one lol), but that’s the beauty of a daily coffee ritual, isn’t it?

Not every cup has to be perfect to be enjoyed🤪 (the second cup was for mr.coffeegirlandmore who is too shy to feature hehe)

Not a paid post but thank you @lunocoffee_ for sending me your coffee to sample and @sageappliancesuk for sending out a replacement machine so quickly!

We are so delighted to host @lunocoffee_ as a guest cup this weekend. Roasted with passion by Irelands 2025 Aeropress Champion Big Mick Nolan in Connemara. This small batch Columbian single origin is wonderfully smooth with lingering fruity notes. Great with milk or enjoyed as an Espresso for maximum flavour!

Only 2 bags in stock.

GET IT WHILE IT LASTS!!

Meet Michael Nolan the 2025 Irish AeroPress Champion! 🏆

Fresh from representing Ireland at the World AeroPress Championships in Seoul (where he made it to the quarter-finals!), Michael joined us at the roastery last week to share his winning recipe.

If you’ve ever wanted to taste a champion’s brew, this is the perfect opportunity! For this recipe, Michael used our coffee from the Gitesi washing station in Rwanda.

Back in September I won the Northern Ireland AeroPress Championship, which meant I qualified to compete in the World Finals in Seoul.

Out of 6,500 competitors worldwide, 66 made it, and I ended up placing in the top 6. Still crazy to say.

The past couple days have been incredible from tasting and brewing amazing coffee to meeting such amazing people and making incredible memories.

Can’t wait to compete again next year in the NI nationals and maybe a few other comps too!
