GUEST SINGERS ANNOUNCED!!!

We're calling in all of our most slick/scaly/slimy pals to sing with us next weekend. It will be VERY SWAMP.

Also I've heard some of y'all still are struggling so here are some more swamp reference points - remember NO SHREK (see previous post).

We asked our programming director @hammelandeggs of his memories of @thegrooverecords on Calvin.

I had been a frequent customer at The Groove when I left Lightning 100 to start Acme Radio. It served the east Nashville community when Grimeys was still on 8th and before Vinyl Tap opened. They usually had a good hip hop and electronic section. One of the main things I wanted to accomplish when we started Acme Radio was to get involved with Record Store Day. I talked to the owners with Carl Gatti and we threw our first big bash in 2016. We were trying to figure out how to get All Them Witches on the roof of Porter Road Butcher with all their gear. They played… just not on the roof. We were all hands on deck putting up fencing, building staging, djing, emceeing, running sound… just a small team trying to pull it off. They held countless in-stores, fright night Fridays, & once a year let us use their property like our own personal playground for Record Store Day. We were able to showcase around 100 different local artists in their backyard on Calvin Ave and brought the neighborhood together. I’ll cherish the memories made at this spot and am forever grateful for The Groove.
