A letter to my little self,

If I could sit beside you for a moment, I would tell you that you have no idea how strong you’re going to become. That life won’t always be easy, that you’ll have moments where you feel lost, and that you’ll spend years learning how to give yourself the same love you so freely give to others.

I’d tell you that you don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be perfect, prove your worth, or be so hard on yourself to become someone you’re proud of.

One day, you’ll grow into a woman who has overcome things you never thought you could. You’ll chase big dreams, build a life of your own, and learn that the strongest version of you is also allowed to be soft.

And soon, you’ll become a mom. You’ll get to hold a little piece of your heart in your arms and love him in a way that changes everything. And I think that’s when you’ll understand just how much that little girl inside you has always deserved to be loved, too.

I wish I could go back and tell you that you were always enough. Not because of what you would accomplish, how you would look, or how much you could handle. Just because you were you.

I hope you’re proud of the woman we’ve become. And I promise that from here on out, I’m going to try a little harder to be as kind to you as you always deserved.
You were always worthy of the life you dreamed of. And we’re still just getting started. 🤍

this thanksgiving i am feeling especially grateful for everything that surrounds me, i feel immensely blessed.

my family and friends who support me in all my endeavours & the new friends that have been made.

my business and all that comes with it. the people, the work, the opportunities. everyone who has comes to my events, showed up to model for a shoot, or worked with me in anyway i am so thankful for you. i truly cannot believe my life sometimes so thank you for being here.

and most of all my liam, i don’t think there is anyone else in this whole world that would be a better match to me. he supports all my crazy ideas, always makes me feel loved and is truly my best friend.

i am so thankful to live this life full of creativity and love🫶🏻

Being a one-woman business means you wear ALL the hats.

You’re the marketer, the content creator, the bookkeeper, the customer service rep, the designer, the photographer, the packer, the planner, and everything in between.

You’re building the dream, putting out the fires, figuring things out as you go, and somehow still showing up to give the world a piece of what you’ve created.

Some days, you’re proud. Some days, you’re overwhelmed. And some days, you’re doing the job of 10 people and wondering how you’re going to get it all done.

But you keep showing up. You keep learning. You keep growing. And you keep believing in something that started with just an idea.

Behind every small business is a person putting their heart, time, money, and energy into making it work.

So here’s to the one-woman businesses doing it all, even when nobody sees just how much it takes.

Saturday took me back to Inwood — where I grew up — for the Woman Empowerment Shoot by Dove Canada, organized by @shannon.dupont.94 and @madelines_closet_inc

And apparently I can’t just show up to anything anymore without bringing jewelry and putting people to work. 😂

So I roped Mom and Grandma into it too.

Three generations together, back where I grew up, getting photos taken, wearing a little Midnight Valley… and of course me seeing who else I could coax into putting some jewelry on while we were there.

A pretty damn good way to spend a Saturday.

Now I just have to wait for the finished photos… and I have a feeling there are going to be some good ones.
