A few months ago I didn't know these women. Now every day with them leaves me feeling empowered, confident and uplifted.

Stronger in how I support SEND parents, braver about being seen and growing in confidence as a woman, not just a business owner. I'm even holding myself differently and reaching for clothes I wouldn't have dared wear before.

Today the Unshakable Circle gathered at the home of my coach and mentor Katy, who has been there every step of the way since I launched SEND Defender. Hearing her say how much she's seen me grow in such a short time really meant a lot.

Caroline and Linzi held space for how much I'm carrying right now, with zero judgement, I basically got free therapy 🤪. Jojo got my brain whirring on offers and content, Chloe reminded me there are stages waiting to be spoken on, Alex and Sabrina always bring the confidence boost and laughter, Julie sharing turning pain into purpose, Emma brings out my inner naughty schoolgirl and Lucy quietly did actual coworking while the rest of us gassed away 😂 Plus some very inappropriate banana chat 🍌

None of it is transactional. Just genuine friendships and women lifting women.

If you're building something while holding everything else together, find your people. I'm so grateful I found mind.

Have you ever questioned pursuing that dream on your heart because the people you told didn’t get it?

What you need to realise is ‘NOT EVERYONE IS GOING TO GET IT’ (yes I shouted that, but it needed to be heard).

Once you realise that and become okay with it, that’s when you can start making the change you dream about.

Your friends, your family, the people following the shoulds are either scared you might be successful, jealous they could never go after their dreams or are trying to protect you.

You need to protect yourself by finding people who say ‘YES BITCH, YOU’VE GOT THIS’

Surround yourself with people who are going to champion you, even if you don’t know what you’re doing, it doesn’t work, or you pivot AGAIN.

And trust me, your own self-belief will sky rocket and you will be UNSTOPPABLE!!

We hear so much about “detoxing” this time of year…juice cleanses, restrictions, quick fixes.

But your body already has a detox system built in 🤍
It’s called your lymphatic system.

Unlike your blood, your lymph doesn’t have a pump.
It relies on movement, breath and gentle support to keep things flowing.

And after winter, when we’ve naturally slowed down, been indoors more,
and maybe moved our bodies less, it’s very common for things to feel a little stagnant.

Think:
– puffiness
– sluggish energy
– heavy limbs
– skin feeling a bit dull

This is where simple practices like lymphatic massage can help ✨
Not as a “quick fix”, but as a way of supporting your body’s natural rhythm.

For me, it’s less about doing more and more about gently encouraging flow again.

Real nourishment isn’t about forcing the body, it’s about working with it.

OCTOBER RECAP 🧡 my birthday month some good things happened...

✈️ A very last minute trip to Italy, for @remigutteridge Disrupt retreat. Absolutely magical time was had with one of my besties @allegrobusinessservices and a bunch of incredible women!

p.s. when I say last minute, I mean there were only 12 hours between the opportunity > mobbing on a plane to Naples.

⚡️I found, created and set up a new business adventure and it so exciting!!!

👋🏼I turned 32 - bye-bye 31, hardest most challenging year of my life but the most growth ive ever experienced. Hello to the most happy and peaceful version of Laura

🎉I celebrated with friends and family and just felt super duper grateful

🏆I got nominated for an award and attended the @finfluencer.digital awards - thanks for having me!

✨ Went to an in person w/ @diorbediako - such an incredible afternoon full of insight and excitement for the future

📕Did a collab with @theproductivitymethod and @gracebeverley saw me - hi grace, I love u

😭Watched @thebookthiefmusical (thank you to @bethanycoops for inviting me) I had the most emotional experience, I was so unbelievably moved and felt 34287364 emotions

🏡 Hosted a Buying Your First Home workshop for the people of JLL Crown estate and it was so good!!

People still come to me, asking for my number, asking for manual lymphatics.

But I’m hesitant to reach a wider audience.

The doubt creeps in, can I really take on more?

Even now, it’s a balance between growing and protecting my energy.

I was feeling fatigued, bloated, my hormones all over the place.

I wanted to find a way to feel better, something holistic that actually worked.

And being around other women with the same struggles made me realise I wasn’t alone.

It’s what led me to focus on lymphatics and helping others feel the same kind of balance.

Guilt often comes from our own insecurities.

That quiet voice asking, “Do I even deserve this?”

Even with supportive people around, it can make you question your path, right?!

Recognising that guilt for what it is, a reflection of your own doubts, is the first step to moving forward with confidence.

And once people started turning up, all my worries just drifted away.

Even if it hadn’t been perfect, seeing everyone there made me feel so proud.

It made me really believe in myself.

Starting a business will ALWAYS fill you with fear.

Fear that no one will show up.

Fear that it won’t work.

Fear that you’ll look silly for even trying.

But that fear isn’t proof you shouldn’t do it, it’s proof that you care.

Because even if one person shows up, even if it’s just you at the start, it still counts.

It still matters.

This week’s episode is all about believing in yourself before anyone else does, and doing it scared anyway.

I'll be honest... When I signed up for this retreat, I didn't feel ready. Even questioned it with the host before joining but then realised waiting NEVER brings the shifts you're craving.

Waiting to feel more confident.
Waiting for the right time.
Waiting for things to make sense.

The biggest transformations I've had this year came from saying yes before I felt ready.

From doing things that didn't make sense on paper but my gut told me to do anyway.

Putting myself in rooms that stretch me.

Moving like the version of me who has everything she wants.

It all comes down to courage.. to trust the inner knowing. Take notice of the little signs telling you there's more 👀

You ALWAYS have the power to change things 👑

SO much gratitude for this experience, these women, the connections.

And grateful for myself... for continuously backing myself, even when the path doesn't look like everyone else's.
For choosing courage over comfort.

For using my voice.

For remembering that I’m the one creating my own milestones ... and that’s worth celebrating ❤️👑
