In less than 24 hours, 32 Members of the European Parliament came together to demand urgent action against Israel’s military escalation in the occupied West Bank.

Their message to EU High Representative Kaja Kallas is clear: immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces, sanctions, an emergency EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting, and full suspension of the EU–Israel Association Agreement.

At the same time, the Socialist International strongly condemned Israel’s plans for forced displacement and destruction in Hebron.

These are important political responses. But let’s be clear: Palestinians do not need another cycle of international condemnation followed by political inaction.

The siege of Palestinian towns, military raids, mass arrests, demolitions and forced displacement are not isolated incidents. They are instruments of an occupation that continues to expand while enjoying decades of impunity.

The question is no longer whether Europe knows what Israel is doing. The question is how much longer Europe intends to allow it.

International law cannot remain a principle that Europe invokes selectively.

Condemnation is the minimum. Accountability is the obligation.

The EU must act. Now. 🇵🇸

🚨Last night marked a historic step towards the complete unravelling of Irish neutrality.

Shame on Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael!
Micheál Martin once defended the Triple Lock as being at the core of our neutrality. Now he’s leading the Government dismantling it.

Ireland has a proud anti-colonial history. We should be a voice for peace, diplomacy and international law, not imperialist wars.

Our neutrality belongs to the Irish people, not the Government!

Irish neutrality must be protected.

The decision to scrap the Triple Lock and dismantle our neutrality will have profound consequences for our country and future generations. It must not be rushed through the Dáil.

This must be put to a referendum. Let the Irish people have their say 🇮🇪

Ai has its uses - but we must keep its greedy, sloppy, scraping fingers off of our work, our livelihoods, our souls.

🇮🇪🇵🇸 International Centre of Justice for Palestinians Éire 🇵🇸🇮🇪

Delighted to attend the launch of @icjpalestine Éire - an independent organisation of lawyers, academics and public representatives that work to promote and support Palestinian rights.

It’s fantastic to see ICJP formally established here in Ireland. The breadth of issues and activism already being considered is immense.

Israel’s continuing genocide and illegal occupation of Palestine must be robustly challenged at every forum. I look forward to working with ICJP Éire going forward.

ICJP Éire is live! 🇮🇪 Last night, we were in Dublin to launch ICJP’s newest venture into Ireland. This is an exciting expansion of our work and we are privileged to join forces with some of the best legal minds across the island to move this project forward and continue our work to protect Palestinian rights and demand accountability.

As part of the MOTHEROTHER relaunch event, we toured the speaker's work, including artist Claire Ong’s work ‘you will be cancelled’, part of @middlesbroughartweek on display at @theauxiliaryprojectspace.

@claire_o_studio is an award-winning Irish artist, living and working in Newcastle upon Tyne. She explores human language through multiple techniques and materials, primarily textiles, using screen printing, stitching, and repurposed textiles.

We learned about Claire’s process and materials, and how her work re-examines political statements when they are made permanent and context is removed. She presents a modern narrative in a traditionally female medium, playing with repetition, innuendo, and layered meanings, and crossing the boundaries between graffiti and fine textiles. We were also incredibly lucky to be joined by MEP @lynnboylansf, who, a year ago, gave a speech that resonated with Claire that she moved to create a piece based on her words.

Claire was awarded the inaugural Newlight Summer Art Textiles Bursary Award for State of the Nation, a substantial piece examining the caustic language and promises around the 2024 general election, and is a 2026/7 winner of Seaton Delaval Hall’s North East Emerging Artist Award, presenting Uneasy Chairs, a work shaped by the hall’s history as a World War II overspill prisoner-of-war camp. Ong has exhibited widely, including at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead; the Newlight Art Prize exhibition, Sunnybank Mill; the National Gallery of Scotland; and the House of Smalls, Edinburgh.

🇮🇪🕊️ It is extremely concerning that the Government is dead set on dismantling the Triple Lock, and it is similarly worrying that the Government has been so set on misrepresenting the Triple Lock and its role in our neutrality.

Removing the Triple Lock will be a monumental change in Ireland’s foreign policy and the Government should stop trying to brush over its ramifications.
