Praxis artist talk this Sunday at Eleven20. Hope you can join us for Coffee, Donuts, and altered perceptions. Looking forward to diving in with everybody. ☕️🍩✌️❤️

coffee & Donuts : forfuckssake
10/27
1-4pm (2pm talk)
1120 butler st
Easton, PA

Praxis: paintingforfuckssake explores the act of painting as not just a process but a meditation—a blessing and a curse tied to the pursuit of synthesizing meaning from absurdity. In the spirit of Sisyphus, who finds profound meaning in his eternal task, this exhibition contemplates the absurd nature of life and the significance of repetitive, creative acts as a response to that absurdity. As Albert Camus said in his 1942 philosophical work, The Myth of Sisyphus, “The struggle itself towards the heights is enough to fill a man’s heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.”

Featuring works by Mariejon de Jong-Buijs, Emma Labattaglia, Ellen Letcher, Lance Rautzhan, Sebastian Rosén, Erik Sommer, Hannah Jean Surace, Julie Torres, Brian Wiggins, Joe Strasser, and Chad Etting.

I am very excited to share with you Praxis: paintingforfuckssake, an exhibition I am curating, opening at Eleven20 on October 5th. It has been a rewarding journey curating this exhibition, and I am thankful for the artists and conversations that have been a reminder of why, as artists, we make things. I am proud to have brought these artists and these works together. Hope to see you in October.
