⚡ COUNTER-ATTACK IN FOOTBALL | How to Score in Seconds! ⚽

3 key principles:

🎯 2. Attack the Space — Opposition defenders

🤝 3. Support the Ball Carrier — सही supporting runs और passing angles बनाओ।

Conservar → progresar → finalizar.

Another one… Brisbane Roar have again turned to Victorian state-league football, this time to land one of NPL VIC’s most respected coaches.

@humecityfootballclub boss @nickhegarty39 is heading to the A-League after being appointed head coach of Brisbane’s B-Team, while also working across the club’s A-League Men environment.

And what a way to leave Broadmeadows.

Hegarty just guided Hume to their highest-ever @nplvictoria finish, taking them to second on the table and a first home semi-final.

But this journey started long before 2026. He first arrived at Hume as a player in 2012.

Captain. Two-time FV Gold Medal winner. One of the club’s leading goalscorers.

Then coach.

He delivered Hume their first major trophy with the 2019 Dockerty Cup, returned for a second stint midway through 2025 and now, 14 years after first walking through the doors, he has earned his shot in the professional game.

There’s a bigger trend here, too.

@iacopolarocca → Bulleen Lions to Brisbane Roar.

@m777ax → Avondale to Brisbane Roar.

@johnoclemente → years immersed in Victorian/NPL football to Brisbane Roar ALW head coach.

Now Nick Hegarty → Hume City to Brisbane Roar.

And elsewhere, Sasa Ognenovski recently went from Preston Lions to the Macarthur FC top job.

One pattern. Endless repetitions. ⚡️

The purpose of this drill is to help wingers become more dangerous in front of goalby practicing different finishing situations.

🎯Objective
Develop wingers’ ability to attack from wideareas, create separation, make intelligent runs, and finish with quality in the final third.

Setup:
⭐️ • The winger starts wide on the left or right side.
⭐️ • A coach or midfielder plays the ball out to the winger.
⭐️ • The winger drives toward the goal with speed.
⭐️ • As they approach the box, they choose the best finish: shoot across goal, cut inside and shoot, or play a low cross/cutback to a teammate.
⭐️• The attacking players must make quick, well-timed runs into the box to attack the ball.
⭐️• After the finish, reset and repeat from the opposite side.

🧠Coaching focus
🍀• Keep their head up to recognize the best option.
🍀• Get a quality shot or cross off quickly.
🍀• Aim for the corners rather than simply hitting the ball hard.
🍀• Follow the play for rebounds.

🎙️ Think of classic wingers like Ryan Giggs🔥explosive movement, quality delivery, intelligent runs, and consistency in the final third. From beating defenders on the outside to delivering the final ball wingers are built through repetition.

Supporting Movement.

• Pass
• Passing angle create

Pass → Move → Support → Create Space.
