More of that “funky? we’ll find it.” business! Based on the signage, @macandwalts would be one of the last places I’d expect to find a burrito! And on second attempt, I’d probably throw it back… 👻 🌯

(Put that blade meat poutine in the cooler though!)

@maclemmens is hands down one of the most interesting people I’ve met.

He’s built a nine figure business in the tech industry, but like most young entrepreneurs, his journey started with chasing money.

Everything changed when he began building something he genuinely cared about “a passion project” connected to a much bigger purpose.

Here, Mac shares more about his journey and why, despite his success, he still chooses to attend events like my mastermind.

Because no matter what level you reach, you still have limiting beliefs. You still have areas to improve.

The right rooms allow you to connect, collaborate, challenge your thinking and see how other successful people operate.

You’re never too successful to keep learning.

CEOs Summit in LA ticked every box.

New platform. New relationships. New wisdom. New experiences I once could only visualise. All of it will help us grow, deliver more value for our clients and our team, and push Ares into a new category of tech-enabled service.

Network = Net worth.

Grateful for the experience @maclemmens and your wisdom.

Onwards and upwards 🧱

Amazing summit with a great group of guys! Grateful for everything life keeps throwing at me. Experiences, people, opportunities, challenges and lessons.
It’s not by accident.
It’s by design and a hell of a lot of hard work.
Period.
The clarity is strong.
The compass is locked in 🧭

You don’t really get what happens at these until you’re in the room.

The speakers and the villa and the activities are the cherry on top. Nice but not the point.

The real thing is the conversations behind closed doors. Sitting with people running at the same speed as you. Hitting the same walls. Carrying the same stuff they don’t say out loud at home.

First couple of days everyone’s still a bit polished. Then the barriers come down and you realise you’ve all got more or less the same problems. Different businesses. Different bodies. Different bank balances. Same head.

That’s what people leave with. Not notes. Perspective and a group of people who actually get it.

Next ones:
📍 Dubai in January/February
📍 Bali next May

If that sounds like the room you’ve been missing then everything is at www.mewevents.com and the link is in my bio: @mewe.events

Nobody says this part out loud: most “masterminds” are expensive holidays with a content alibi. A room full of people posturing, not helping.

This one wasn’t that.

Eleven entrepreneurs, zero posturing. Different industries, different stages. But almost everyone in that room was quietly working through the same handful of problems nobody admits to out loud. That’s the real value of a room like that. Not eleven new ideas. Proof that your “unique” problem isn’t unique at all.

Building something is lonely. Not the Instagram kind of lonely: the real kind. Even the most understanding partner can’t carry the full weight of it. Neither can your closest friends. So you carry it alone.

For one week, I didn’t have to do either. Everyone in that room challenged each other’s decisions without mercy, and without ego. Nobody flinched. Nobody defended. Everyone just wanted the person across the room to see their full potential.

Compare that to everywhere else in life: work, social media, even your own family. Everywhere else rewards you for looking like you’ve already got it figured out. This room paid you for admitting you didn’t.

That’s not networking. That’s the brotherhood most founders never get to have.

Thank you to the guys, the speakers who actually brought something worth taking home, and @mewe.events , for a week I won’t forget. @jossmooney , your ability to connect the right people made all the difference. See you at the next one.

You become who you surround yourself with. For one week, I got to pick eleven of the best reasons that’s true. #mastermind #bali
