ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT // MACON ESCOBAL RILEY

We’re thrilled to welcome Macon Escobal Riley to ADT as a Company Artist.

Macon is an Australian-Filipino dancer and multi-disciplinary performer. He was raised in Garramilla with street styles like Break Dancing, Popping and Locking, and Waving. He then graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with Honours, where he cultivated a rich foundation in contemporary dance and performance.

He has performed with Co3 Contemporary Dance (2021 - 2025), and has worked with Marrugeku, OFFBase Dance Company (2022 - 2025), and Opera Australia. He has worked broadly with independent choreographers across the country.

Macon is an explosive performer and a total vibe. He loves manga and is the owner of a little orange cat. He’ll make his debut with the company in the world premiere season of Faraway by Jenni Large at the 2026 Adelaide Festival.

Turned thirty a few weeks ago - late to my own party again 🙃

Been a big year (decade) of life and soul searching and shapeshifting. Thankfully it’s all coming together and feeling right, outside and in. At least for now until it changes as it does.

To my circles, close and closer, you’re the best for tolerating and entertaining this silly little human and his journey and I hope you’d say the same back 🫰
