Today was a rad day! Spent some time reading at Montrose Harbor. Had dinner at fry the coop. Then spent the night getting stoked for winter with @tetongravity at the premiere of ‘Actually, It Is Rocket Science’. 🚀 🧪 🤙🏼

@wasatchmountainfilm wouldn’t be able to do what we do without our volunteers. They are the often-unheralded cornerstone of any great film festival.

From the judging panel, running AV, helping with production-related tasks, checking tickets, welcoming guests, supporting filmmakers, MC’ing screenings, solving last-minute problems, designing and 3D printing our award medals, and keeping the whole thing moving, our volunteer team is a huge part of what makes @wasatchmountainfilmfestival possible.

As we continue to grow, we’re building out a volunteer database for future quarterly events, community gatherings, and our flagship festival weekend.

We’re looking for people who are excited about film, storytelling, the outdoors, and creative community. People who are interested in getting into the film industry. People who want to learn, contribute, meet other like-minded, good-hearted humans, and help build something meaningful in Salt Lake City.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.

Much love to this year’s incredible volunteer team:

Some of our favorite evenings don’t make it to the screen — they happen around the table.

The filmmaker dinner was everything we hoped it would be: 150 filmmakers, storytellers, and collaborators sharing a meal, trading ideas, and doing the slow, wandering kind of conversation that doesn’t happen anywhere else.

This is why we built the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival. Not just to show great work — but to make space for the people behind it to actually connect.

Thank you to everyone who came, stayed late, and made it feel like home.🏔️

Some snippets from shooting Season 2 of #UltimateMountainAthlete with @outsidemagazine a couple weeks ago. This shoot, like many, was a full-on rodeo — all the weather, amazing people, long days, beautiful mountains, SO many cue cards, and plenty of smiles and laughs along the way.

Thank you to the whole crew — it was seriously all-star, and none of it would have come together without everyone’s hard work.

This season’s athletes were straight animals (as you have to be to take on this challenge), and y’all will have to tune in this June on @outsidewatch to see who wins it all!
Seriously though, can’t wait to share what we made with you guys. Season 2 of #UMA was a blast, plain and simple. More soon — keep your 👀 peeled for June!

PS couple of these snaps were from @itsjasonlucas’s bts lens, aka our script savior and keeper of the cue cards…
