Penny in the Buttermilks for @madambackwards 🐶🌅🌕💞
〰️
The painting is based on a reference photo taken by @madambackwards #bishop #landscapepainting #dog #gouache Gouache painting of the eastern sierras. There’s a cute lil doggie in the foreground and the landscape is colorful.

Picked up an old film camera from eBay last summer — turns out shooting film is both very fun and therapeutic. (My wallet: 👀) I still cross my fingers every time I wait for the photos, but maybe that’s the magic of it 🪄 ✨

And then back to Roma to meet up with @slaton and @calikody to sample the Italian culture and gelato.

“…and thats why 2005’s Italian Job is America’s most important cinematic work of art.”, Slaton.

“….ohhhh.”

Or something like that. It’s not necessarily the details of the conversation, but the feelings of the day that are most important.

In line for our Forum and Coliseum tour.

The Uffizi was absolutely amazing. And absolutely massive. Two city block length hallways lined with history. Then to Piazzale Michelangelo. 24,344 steps across a remarkle city.

Into a record store to look for albums we weren’t going to buy. Florence is a city we both would love to spend more time in.

The excitement was barely contained after quick and weak espresso close to the Roma Termini station. We began the cross country trek to Pisa.

Only go to Trevi past midnight.

Late arrival to the @airbnb meant perfect midnight walking to Trevi Fountain, the Forum and the Coliseum. And our first gelato.
