I am beyond fortunate to be able to spend all this time with my son, on this wild journey with him. It was just Maddox and I this last weekend for an out-of-state soccer tournament. Missed Sam and the fam, but we had a great time! Eating wherever Maddox wanted, doing fun things like the arcade, playing in the sand with some friends, and tons of great soccer.

Dude’s Day 🚨 the boys and I went and saw the new Spider-Man movie 🕸️ Really solid movie! If you have watched it already, what did you think?

What a game. What an experience. 🔥🙌
At the end of 5th grade, Maddox’s school all goes to Mackinac Island for a long weekend field trip. Well that weekend landed on the state cup semi finals and finals, which Maddox’s team earned a spot in both. Sam and I let him pick… and of course he picked playing soccer. He played lights out in the biggest games of the season 💪 We told him we would do a special trip with just him to make up for it. We offered Mackinac Island, Niagara Falls, or a special @columbuscrew game with the field club and seats. Again, he picked soccer lol and it did not disappoint!! Santi made his debut and scored the opener. The team was on fire and won the game 3-0 🔥 the lounge food and experience was top notch. And the biggest cherry on top was being able to talk with the players, get signatures, and pictures. This is a core memory that I’m just happy to be part of! #columbuscrew

Massive shoutout to Ahmad from @thegoldenbalance 🤝 Sam and I have got to know him over the last couple years, and he’s such a good dude. Warm, welcoming, and kind. Jax and Maddox have been fans of his YouTube channel, especially Jax because he wants to be a baker and a chef. Did you know Jax bakes several times a week, to the point where Sam and I do not even go in the kitchen with him anymore? Ahmad has over 3.5 million subs on YouTube and over 8.5 million followers on TikTok (check him out if you haven’t). Showcasing his cooking and culture. Couldn’t be nicer (basketball jumper can use a little work though 🤣). He didn’t hesitate when asked if the boys could meet him. Local Flint legend! #thegoldenbalance

We are all about micro-dosing positive and diverse soccer experiences! For our family, it’s just become part of our culture, and we couldn’t love it more. ❤️ Saturday was wonderful! @maddoxcommand & some of his @lfciami central teammates played in their first ever “soccer in the sand” tournament. They went 4-0 and won the championship ⚽️🏖️ we ended the night cheering on the @flintcitybucks in the @uslleaguetwo national championship. What a vibe and a great game!

What happens when your player gets hundreds of extra reps?

⚽️ More confidence on the ball.
⚽️ Better muscle memory.
⚽️ Stronger shooting mechanics.
⚽️ Faster skill development.

The biggest improvements don’t happen during games. They happen during the extra reps before and after practice.

Just 10 minutes a day can add up to hundreds of extra touches every week and thousands over the course of a season.

That’s the power of repetition.

Congrats to @maddoxcommand for getting his name called to move on to the winter pool for the Michigan Olympic Development Program aka ODP 🔥 After 5 hours of tryouts in the heat (with a cold), you never know what coaches are looking for and/or see, so Maddox was very excited with the news! Keep working and loving the journey.
